Yes, there will be an aluminium capping piece in the same colour as the single ply roofing.

edmonton: Been asking about the test events and there is no programme yet. Ticket only. Got to be something that will avoid no shows though as 20k is needed for the test to have worked.

The problem for that is the time of year - bang in the school summer holidays. Lots of adults (particularly Dads) would snap up the tickets (presuming they'll be cheap) and subsequently realise they're in the Canary Islands that weekend or have got some other plans already with the whole family.

I'd imagine the club will be looking for events which will appeal to the whole family to a) try and push up the attendance figure above 20k; and b) get people in the stadium nice and early to test out the rest of the facilities.

There might well be, I've not seen anything get peeled off as it were, and the single ply membrane doesn't come with a protective layer stuck to it and is relatively hardy and can be walked on. Given the height of the building and the winds up there, I'd be suprised if there is anything on it that could potentially block off.

20k will be easy to fill, no matter what time of the year, no matter what event is on. People - especially Spurs fans - will want to be the first inside to see the new stadium. Everyone isn't going to be away at the time of the event. There's 10-12 million people in London alone. Really isn't an issue.

I think the issue is that they can't invite 60,000 people for a 20,000 test. So it's not so much whether there will be the interest from people in coming along, but whether those who sign up keep their commitment. So you need to invite say 22k people and hope that at least 90% of them walk through the turnstiles on the day.

I see your point, but surely they'll have 'stand-by' tickets. People chancing it and just turn up at the ticket office... first come first serve. It will be interesting to see how the goons did it.

I don't believe for a moment that we'll have trouble with the test events, we could play Enfield Town and we'd get more than 20,000.
