so the 22,000 on the waiting list for season tickets behind the goalS must be BS?

I thought it was 22k on the waiting list for season tickets full stop. It's safe to say the waiting list behind the goals is larger, but there is still waiting lists for the shelf as well.

It was claimed on Topspurs a while back that the audited figure for the ST waiting list is about 10,000 less than the club claims.

I'd imagine there's quite a few people, like me that actually wouldn't be able to take up a season ticket right now. I have a bronze membership so that I can try and get to a few games a year (with priority over lilywhites) and also feel I might as well spend a little bit extra each year on the chance that when an ST opportunity does come up I might hopefully be in a position to go for it!

That's part of the reason I feel 60k might be pushing it....

On the contrary, I've just upgraded my membership from Lilywhite to Bronze, as I didn't see the point in paying an extra £10 (or whatever) per year to get a place on the waiting list, when there wasn't a hope in hell of ever getting an affordable season ticket...

Levy would be very smart to take a look at the Amsterdam ArenA - it has a floating pitch that slides under the main stand to leave a concrete arena floor - as such it can be used for music concerts and the like without ruining the pitch - massively increaces Ajax's revenue. The stadium can be usued for a match on Sat and a music event on Sunday.

A format like this would enable us to maximise revenue from the new stadium - making it a top music venue as well as a home for Spurs - double the momeny with no detrimental effect on the pitch!

bronze don't get priority over lilywhites, they go on sale together to brone/lilywhites. the only difference is the st waiting list spot.

Nice idea, but really can't see it happening when you consider all the other music venues available in London, most if not all of which are closer to transport.

Although the skyscraper city designs are entirely speculative I bet the local window cleaners are rubbing thier squidgies in delight at the prospect of cleaning that roof.

I can just imagine the nearby Arsenal supporting pigeon fanciers making sure any flight routes go straight over the top of that baby!

It's a cunning plan. Two thirds of a 60,000 seater give a greater capacity than the whole of WHL. It will be a bit odd for a season but it saves us having to move to another venue while building is in progress.

We have some planning experts posting here so they will be able to give an idea of how long planning consent will take, but my guess is at least 2 years from now.

It's what I'd expected, we'd pretty much have to play one season with a corner missing, we wouldn't be able to get the north stand demolished and then have time to rebuild. Shame it'll take the gloss off slightly but never mind. I guess we'll get more information on Friday when the exhibition opens. I'd imagine we'd get 40,000+ for the first season and then 60,000+ for every season after, so we wouldn't be losing out even in that first year.

I think it is a great idea. Better than a ground share with someone else. I think it gives a lot of flexibility that needs to come with a project this big as well.

some seem to doubt we will fill 60000 plus a stadium is built with 80 years or more in mind 45 years ago we had the biggest gates in the land - our time will come again todays stadiums offer much more than those of 4 decades ago
