Question for the mods - can we change the name of the thread and make it a sticky, given that this will probably turn into a major topic of debate over the next few days & years, so it would be nice to have the thread clearly identified and available.

Interesting read there. Which major firm from Dubai do you guys think will strike a stadium sponsorship deal with us?

Reminder: Any leaked new stadium designs should not be posted here for the usual legal reasons that covers new kit designs and the like.

If it had to be from Dubai, I'd hope it would be Jumeirah, as they have some classy hotels around the world.

I'd be surprised if it would be them though, no disrespect to Haringey but it is not exactly in keeping with the image they seem to project.

Are we allowed to post links to other sites containing leaked new stadium designs, or alleged/speculative designs, like skyscrapercity?

I'm awaiting a bit of feedback from the powers that be on SC but at the moment we toe the usual line of no leaks :-(

I wanna see them too :-(

The key thing about the new stadium for me is that they find a way to keep the Park Lane together - we need one stand full of ST holders that are going to make a lot of noise at every game, then hopefully the rest will join in a bit. If the Park Laners are diluted around a huge bowl the atmosphere is going to be dreadful.

To fill 60,000 regularly (and I personally think that may be too much) we're going to have a lot more corporates and a lot more of the sit down all game, leave 10 minutes before the end types as well as the 'football tourists' - it's the way football is now.

This stadium is about creating revenue, plain and simple (and we need to do it) - I don't think it will be able to match the Lane for regular, year round atmosphere, but for the really big games it could be immense.

As for the design, I hope it's more square than the Emirates and we can make it at least a little distinctive from the modern lego stadiums elsewhere in England!

As a shelf side season ticket holder, block 31 next to the Park Lane, I take umbrage that it's all about the Park Lane:snooty:

But I have raised the same point before - one of the criticisms of the gooner move was that they split season ticket holders up and it took them some time to get to know the new people around them - though to a point I find it laughable, as they were hardly renowned for the atmosphere at the Library, but the point about keeping people together is still a valid one.

It's the actual designs we can't show, until officially released, should they be leaked. Other peoples 'alleged/speculative designs' like skyscrapercity are fine

Ta for the clarification (not that I have any info on the designs, but you never know what's round the corner)

You know what I meant. I sit in the shelf sometimes too, but we all know it's the Park Lane that drives the atmosphere at the Lane.

Hey guys, I live in Brisbane, Australia and have been a fan of spurs for about 15 years and Id thought I would share our city's sports stadium with you. It's called Suncorp Stadium holds 53k and is widely regarded as the best Football ground in terms of atmosphere everyone that plays and watches there talks about how close the fans are to the action and how good the viewing is from all seats and directions.

The posted bowl shape stadium does look nice and with 60 thousand screaming spurs fans I'm sure the players will notice but a square design/ syle would be better. Anyways check out some pictures of suncorp and see what you think, it was built about 3-5 years ago or something.

Nice. I have been a big fan of Suncorp for a while. Brilliant place to watch sport. Just like Twickenham in that it's very high on the sides.

Would be brilliant with the noise we make at the Lane

so the 22,000 on the waiting list for season tickets behind the goalS must be BS?

No... they can still sell tickets and have a waiting list...

They make more money from individual tickets, and they'd never get any new fans if the entire ground was season tickets!
