Taken from the Popbitch mail today... (probably read with a big pinch of salt)

Tottenham Hotspur players arrive back for training on Monday, ready for their new season at Wembley.
Behind the scenes huge amounts of work have been done on the new White Hart Lane ground, but there's already some fear it won't be ready in time for the 2018 season.
Spurs execs have already brought this up with Premier League bosses. If it's not up and running by next August (and it's looking tight) then the league can schedule the club to play away games only. To a maximum of 7 games.
Beyond that? Who knows...

It wouldn't surprise me if this has been brought up bearing in mind how thorough we are being and how we want to keep all option open as long as possible.

I don't agree with the interpretation that this would indicate we are behind schedule.

I heard a rumour that the drains for the new stadium are about 18 inches lower than the main sewer. Someone cocked up somewhere.

The trouble is that, as Isaac Newton once said: 'shit don't roll uphill' or something like that. They might have to make a sump and pump the brownstuff up to the sewer.

No ITK here, just something I heard on a building site..

We will get it ready for matches on time and the only delay would be the incidental decor, hanging the Stubbs' and Monets and stuff, we'd want to open with it absolutely pristine and complete.
That said I don't believe their take on it, let's be honest it would be a bit negligent for the club not to have discussed this with the Premier league I'd have though.
Mind you that does imply they are only looking at a matter of weeks nothing major.

In general I would agree, however 2 yrs ago they ran a couple of stories across consecutive weeks about the company I work for, and how employees were treated... They were bang on the money!!!

If anyone sees THFC advertising for 'waste elevation technicians' in the local job centre, avoid, even if you get a free bucket with the job. Just stick to the section with employment at Sports Direct and McDonalds.

Not sure how to add a picture or if this has been put else where but has anyone else noticed on the Sports Direct homepage if you go down to the bottom it says "the 2017/18 Tottenham Hotspur FC Nike Stadium". Not sure if that's a typo or if they have indirectly confirmed that Nike are going to have the naming rights to the new stadium.

It's says Stadium Kit which is the more expensive match day shirt I'd imagine.

When we win the League and cup double next season we'll all be hoping for a second season at Wembley!
