Someone said on Skyscraper city that they don't actually reach the ground?

They don't. There's a few pictures where you can clearly see they are suspended.

Yes, I have copied this from @LeeRowswell twitter feed.

That's a much better picture. Cheers guys. I mean, I knew that must be the case and that perspective must be playing tricks, but it seemed that they were too close to the ground for anything meaningful to fit under and that they lined up with the curve where it is at ground level, but clearly that last picture illustrates that there's much more to it. (Which obviously I knew there had to be given the design, I just couldn't 'see it').

Heard the school behind ‘East’ stand has 99 year lease with spurs who want it as a fan zone.

They want to buy

This is probably with a view to an NFL franchise moving in at some point, with their tail gate parties. Honestly what’s wrong with going to the pub?

Sorry, for my understanding, is the school leasing space on their premises to Spurs so they can use it as a fan zone or do the Spurs own the land and the school lease it from the club?

The above might answer this second question, but who wants to buy the land, the school (from the club) or the club (from the school or a third-party).

Landlease own land and we have 99 year lease to use as fan zone

But - we own land on the High Road West scheme which is managed by landlease and the guess is spurs want to trade.

The intention is for the school to be knocked down in next few years so fan zone will get bigger

Not with cars at least. We've spent the last few years trying to discourage fans from driving in order to get planning permission.

No, doing it with cars is not really realistic in London. They’ll just get bbq vendors and bars set up.

That with the public square, the hotspur walk and all the stuff inside the stadium should make match days a bit special.

Nothing is wrong with the pub, but for the club, it's more revenue. It's part of the match-day experience. You want fans to plan their entire routine around getting to the stadium early and having the facilities for them to be there all day.

I rather suspect, that in time, most fans will be trying to get into the pubs. If your going with the kiddies, then it's good to have other options.

This exactly, I go with my daughter sometimes and with my mates sometimes and it is 2 VERY different experiences. A family friendly fan zone would be ideal for when with my daughter but pub for when it’s just the lads.
