that guys so fat you can see him from space

I have a technical question: when they winch up the roof cables, they obviously won’t pull on 100 cables at once. But which ones will take the load of the rest? I’d imagine like 20 motors running. At what point does the roof structure become one piece, so to speak?

I actually think it does go up as one. Think it’s gonna take 2-3 weeks apparantly. There was a video doing the rounds of a similar build pretty astonishing.

It will be replaced once a stadium sponsor is in place.
There’s a lot of people who know precisely what it will be - you’re pretty definitive for example. I actually don’t know, as it was just an observation. :(

As it happens, the other bit of literature in the other thread shows the NFL sponsored by Subway at Wembley, Twickenham and the Tottenham Stadium. Maybe we will follow the Wembley model (EE)? I will say though I honestly don’t know. Not going to get in an argument about it. Subway?

Is there an estimated completion date yet? Can't seem to find one, anywhere....

Sure I heard trial is pencilled in for early August. And ready for PL mid September after international break. But the NFL fixtures are announced thursday. So it will definitely be ready.

Re the discussion about the NFL and signage etc.
The East Stand is the Main Entrance for the NFL and not that on the High Rd, so I don’t know if that will make any difference overall. I don’t really know what is meant here by a clean stadium as I imagine that all the different NFL stadiums have their own sponsorship and advertising deals - US Bank Stadium, MetLife Stadium, Bank of America Stadium and so on, so why would they object to a sponsors name for NWHL. Same with the advertising etc, although I suspect there may be separate electronic advertising for the NFL unless there is an exclusive deal with be advertisers. Then again the nominated Home zteam will be losing out on their advertising revenue for one game so perhaps they get a say on that. Don’t know there, just speculating.
Anyways, I append below the original signage layout in the Planning Docs for those interested.

Well, it only means it will be ready for the NFL game at the moment. But yeah you've got to think they are very confident.

Everton to get 2/3rds of the funding from a deal with the council. It would be quite interesting to know the reaction to that in liverpool. Can you imagine how bad it would go down in London if Boris had agreed to help pay for 2/3rds of our new stadium?!?!
It's ok, Liverpool got their millions of pounds subsidy from central government a few years ago when the American owners left.

Pretty obvious to eye that it will be ready. The south stand has gone up in rapid time. Just corners to complete the full bowl. I’d estimate 2 weeks max and then ready for roof. They always said look out for roof early February then it’s on schedule. After then it’s Just retractable pitch and interiors to sort.
