there seems to be an awful lot to do still, to be usable by aug/sept, its not even water tight yet. dont get me wrong, the progress has been astounding. but just seems like such fine margins.
It isn't fully water tight but some sections have been done already as they are water tight
Is the roof going to flap about in a breeze?
It will move yes, I believe it was up to 3 metres
are you sure as, I think it will be pretty much locked in place with all cables under tension

I find the idea of a stadium costing upwards of half a billion pounds which has a roof that flaps about in the wind a bit strange.

it won't 'flap'. It is designed to have flexibility in adverse weather conditions to maintain the structural integrity. Much the same as how some skyscrapers 'sway'.

Surely the atmosphere that will be created within the South stand would be infectious, at least over time and those sitting there would want to be part of the experience of making it our own 'white wall'?

The 1882 section is the one that bothers me. Right in the middle? With all the cheese and craft ale ponces trudging back in a cheddar and beer induced state on around the 60 minute mark it could potentially look really shit.

Im completely with you, but just to clarify that spurs have confirmed 1882 members will get ‘a complimentary drink’ at half time. Watch the fuckers faces when they get handed a bottle of water, and told that its not like-for-like water that u got at WHL

You don't even have to read between the lines. It was mentioned in the minutes of the last THST meeting what a nightmare moving blocks together to Wembley was, so it's no real surprise that they tried something different.

But it’s already been done. Surely doing the same thing again would be easier?

Eg. People will have moved to positions they wanted to be in rather than where they were made to sit/given a season ticket seat at WHL.

Ah right. They still get exclusive access to the VIP areas though don't they? I'm guessing that if they can afford the cost of the tickets, they won't be scoffing at the price of food and drink in the bars etc. Time will tell I guess. If you're paying the extra money for the privilege, I don't blame them for wanting to use it, but just hope it isn't exclusively during the game.

Maybe the bars they have access to should be before/after the game and if they want some cheese and all that shite they can wait 45 mins. Allow them to get a drink and a pie or something but I've never understood what can be so essential that these people miss a period of the match

A bottle of water? Levy will soon put a stop to that and replace it with a shot of tap water.

it won't 'flap'. It is designed to have flexibility in adverse weather conditions to maintain the structural integrity. Much the same as how some skyscrapers 'sway'.

There will be "nodes" at roughly 4-6m centres along the wires. Each node has four spigots on it, each cassette has tabs or holes in it and a corner of a cassette will slot on to a spigot (ie each node will have four corners of four cassettes mounted on it). Once the cassettes are laid out, or in fact whilst they're being laid out a single ply membrane will be laid across them with a lose section linking up to the polycarbonate section to take in to account the movement. Deflection of the roof will be +/- 4m (2m in each direction) in heavy winds.

Contact the club via their email asking that to be considered. You never know.
I did contact the Club and received this reply
" Thank you for taking the time to contact us.
I do apologise, however it is Clubs policy for no seats to moved once the deposit has been paid "

I just wonder if it would be so rigid in its policy if I ask to upgrade to a £1,500 or 1882 Club seat ?

Wait for all this initial nonsense to calm down.

They're in the middle of a mass marketing exercise. If they permitted people to choose a seat, pay for it, then change it, the whole exercise would turn into a clusterfuck. Seats that had been marked "sold" would have to be marked "available" again. That would encourage other people to ask to change their seat allocations, so they can move to the vacated seats.

It would be a madhouse. Of course they can't do that.

'all' is an interesting word to use...judging by current ticket dales there will be more bodies in the pitch than in the 1882 section, so I wouldn't worry about them too much...

it seems to me this seating agenda has become a hate fest of mainly people who can't afford certain seats against those who can afford more expensive seats .Myself and my son have almost the same seats for slightly more cash but if you look around there are plenty of seats available comparable with old stadium prices .What a stupid and pointless also envious way to carry on because you can't afford the most expensive seats when you are most likely like my son and myself not wanting to sit among the rich as the atmosphere among these people is not as good as the rough and ready and mainly loud cheap seats. I say let them have there posh areas with cheese halls and the like ;but also I welcome the richer set as its there cash which is helping to fund our improvement along with our cash ;I think what I am trying to say on a match day rich or poor we are all equal we are all spurs

I don’t think that is strictly true. A comparable seat where I sat is anywhere between £370 and £670 more per season. I sat on the shelf - East Lower. I also buy 2 ST’s per season. That’s one hell of a hike. I liked where I sat on the side of the ground. Didn’t buy anything in the ground and doubt I still will.

Always kind of thought it’s a mirror situation of housing in London on a mini scale.
