Are we definitely just having all over Navy seats? No THFC or anything in white like we did at the Lane?

As slick as it looks, it would be a shame, and I guess driven by a commercial decision to make it a blank canvas for NFL etc.

First and foremost it’s our home and Should be reflected in the seating like other grounds.
Add I've said on here before, the stadium has to be handed over clean as part of the NFL contract. That's what Levy has said. We don't know the depth or specifics of that definition in terms of the contract, but DL says that on an NFL matchday the intention has always been that the NFL feel like it's their stadium, not that they are borrowing someone else's (he needed to make it compelling enough to be more attractive than the larger Wembley Stadium). I suspect that means that entire stand sized motifs inside the bowl aren't permitted, although I totally agree that it's a shame.

I'm actually quite happy with all over navy blue seats, seat writing is a bit 80's, a bit naff now in my opinion and I'm pretty sure we'll have plenty of logo's and the like around the ground.

Well I hope so, because I wouldn’t want our identity in the stadium diluted in any way by the NFL.

Already I’m slightly concerned with the East Stand being the “dedicated NFL stand”. I hope that simply refers to the changing rooms etc and that the massive corporate section hasn’t been driven by it because really I couldn’t give a fuck about the NFL.

I still can’t really see the benefits bearing in mind the massive costs involved ( which have been passed onto fans let’s not forget). Other than a franchise which I’m sceptical will even happen in the future.

Agree. There are so many things about the new stadium that appear groundbreaking and almost revolutionary for me to bother about logos on seats.

Apart from the design and size of the new stadium, the most important thing is that it's slap bang in the middle of the community where the club has its roots.

Nothing annoys or depresses me more about the new breed of football grounds as when they are plonked down on one of those nowhere places that litter countless cities worldwide, tucked into the elbows of railway junctions, nudged into the groins of motorway intersections or dumped on the edge of some out-of-town trading estate, with the town or city they champion nowhere in sight.

But then again not all Spurs fans live in Tottenham.

Just sayin'.

When the stadium is full - you can't see any logos or writing on the seats. When the stadium is empty - who cares what is on the seats?

I can understand your not give a fuck about the NFL, especially if the new design for the east stand has caused you to lose your normal seats due to them extending corporative, but in the long run the success of the NFL, and other events that will eventually be held at the NWHL along with many other things the club hope/need to be a success, could be the difference in your ST either staying the price you paid this season, or eventually dropping once everything about this new development is paid off/sold.

the price I know has hit you hard, but if you was even closer to the centre you would most probably have paid more, and if they never put the corporate extension there, then you would definitely of been paying even higher.

I admire your optimism, Lighty64, but I think that it might be a little naive to think that this administration will ever charge less than the maximum than it can get for tickets.

I wonder if we start to see some movement on the naming rights soon. Beating Chelsea, while not guaranteeing CL, certainly is a step in the right direction of appearances. Removes some risk for a sponsor who wants to be sure they are associating with a top brand. Most of the press is very positive about Spurs, and their future right now.

The other challenge for a sponsor and Spurs is the longer it takes to get a deal done - the harder it will be to disassociate the name "New White hart Lane" from the stadium.

Well tbh, it would have been easier to swallow big price increases if I could have actually sat in an equivalent view. As it is I'm paying a lot more for a worse view.

Anyway, it's not just about prices. I'm a bit concerned with how the changes to the East stand will affect atmosphere. And I do admire the feat of engineering involved to get a stadium that can be seamlessly switched between sports. I just hope it's not at the expense of the football and the benefits outweigh the costs. We could have still hosted numerous other events, without the need for the NFL conversion. It all seems to hinge on the franchise to me, and that seems a gamble.

Hopefully, once up and running these concerns prove to be unjustified.

That’s why they’ve called it “Tottenham Hotspur stadium “

Doesn’t matter if we call it WHL, all media outlets will call it THS.

Thinking about it, a sponsor wants it to bear their name so that their name gets known around the world, now if it is called the Tottenham Hotspur stadium the same thing applies to us, our name will be buzzed across America for the NFL coverage so if it starts out as the Tottenham Hotspur stadium for a while all well and good, let's face it Tottenham Hotspur is not the sort of name you'd ignore, it's bound to catch people's attention.
Personally I'm looking forward to calling it "The World Famous home of the Champion's of Europe":)

the main atmosphere in the old WHL was the south stand, with a corner near the south in the east contributing. whats important is to get a good group in the south, and hopefully now @Dougal has moved to the north some noise can come from there:whistle:

the big difference being that if we hold concerts, boxing, or the NFL, our pitch doesn't get damaged.

to be fair the club has froze prices on many occasions, and at the moment have to get the stadium paid.

Yup that’s obviously why they want it to be called THS for the NFL. Unfortunately WHL would mean nothing in terms of raising our profile in the states.

Was worried that I hadn't seen Chris Cowlin's usual Saturday video... This bloke deserves any money he makes from his Youtube channel imo.
