I am interested to see it in operation too, as I am not sure if the quoted 30mins related to rolling the turf pitch in and out or if it included all the work needed to get both pitches 'match ready'... you have the great big NFL goal to put up and take down and i bet the grounds men will be out with their forks having a good prod! in reality i would guess an hour or more from true start to finish but will be super impressed if its the 30mins THFC have been talking about.

Wont the front row of seats of the south stand need to be removed before the pitch is retracted, or was i dreaming again?

I could be completely wrong but i don't think any seats are removed when converting from Football to NHL use but I think maybe the front few rows of the south stand lift out of the way while the pitch is rolling then back into original position? i assume it is on jacks similar to the surrounds of the pitch that will lower/raise to the correct height of the pitch?

The front rows of all stands are meant to be at the correct level for both functions and i don't think we have any temp seating or capacity changes other than for potential fan segregation or safe standing implementation?

The THFC pitch trays are a metre high I think so when the NFL play on their pitch it will be that much lower. There needs to be a drop of somewhere near 2 metres for the fans on the sides of the pitch to see over those team members standing each side of the pitch. I'm sure there are plenty of bods in the sight line for spectators in the front row seats when an NFL games in progress if they're not sitting higher.
The fans will not be at "ground" eye level for the football games, all though the removable pitch is that metre higher, and will be able to see clearly as per the old stadium.
I'm sure the front 2 or 3 rows of the SS seats are removed some how to let the soccer pitch out underneath it and remain up during the NFL games.

"Sports minister Tracey Crouch says there are no plans to change the all-seater policy at football stadiums. "

This means that unsafe standing will continue at most grounds.

That was in response to a request from WBA to pilot it next season. But it's not the end of the road. Firstly, they're requesting a review. Secondly, a junior minister rarely stays in position for too long and she's already been there for nearly three years. Thirdly, there's obviously the prospect of a change in government. And finally, in politician speak "there are no plans to" is not the same as "we will not" ;)

Personally not worried about it, for the amount seats are costing I will be sitting for the whole game , of course will probably jump to my feet when we score.

Fair enough, but that's part of the argument. If we have proper, designated standing sections, covering roughly the same proportion of the ground as fans who want to stand, then in the rest of the stadium you can sit comfortably without the worry of people in front of you standing.

West Brom have applied for a trial of safe standing, but the Government have today turned this down. It obviously has a baring on our future plans.

That was the message I got, there will be no removal of any seating for the NFL so that it won't appear to be a stadium with temporary conversions to shoehorn in an NFL game like Wembley.
What they are laying seems too high so they are either our pitch trays or more likely as was posted earlier can be lowered.

Front 3 rows of the South stand are removed for NFL games otherwise they can't move the grass pitch to underneath the south stand.

If you look at the interactive stadium map it's the front two rows which are effectively sealed off from the rest of the South Stand, with season tickets also not being sold there. I'm guessing the plans have changed slightly and it's the front two missing for the NFL.

Cheers Sirharry' I just took another look at the interactive cameras and the gap seems higher now, maybe I'm just seeing it clearer or maybe they have moved the front three rows.
One more question, where do they put them?
