NoThere seems to be a lot less chat aboit the roof being designed and built using special material for atmosphere. Was that all BS in the end?

Has there been any part of this build that's been BS so far?
I had not heard of the roof being built with "special" materials, only that the stadium, including the roof, was designed to maximize the accoutic levels.
Fair enough. I'm excited about it again:
“It’s about the material the roof’s made of, the shape of the roof, where it inclines and where it doesn’t. We’re lining the underside of the roof with an aluminium soffit lining and it ends up working a bit like a concert hall, so we have sections where we’re adding more absorption where we need it so we have perforated bits with acoustic lining. I mean, it really has been considered much like a concert hall's acoustics would be considered, in order to get this incredible clarity of the acoustics within the seating bowl. The level it’s been taken to is unique. I don’t think we’ve ever done the amount of studies, the amount of work, the discussion of materials – where absorption is, where it isn’t – even how much padding do we have in the seats, where do we have that padding in the seats, which also deals with acoustics.”
I hope the away end/section don't have any accoustics!!!!!
I read too that they had studied how the resonance would be, so that they could get more people singing at the same time, rather than a few seconds behind, and how that will also encourage fans to carry on singing for longer.I'm hoping this bit: "The level it’s been taken to is unique. That said if you have no noise from the opposition fans it doesn't encourage our own to sing up, so maybe we need some noise from the opposition fans to create the atmosphere, just not too much!

From memory, some of the soffit panels are perforated, some solid to help with absobing/reflecting sound.
Big buggers aren't they? Bet they still leak....here's a close-up of one being lifted today, via TheTote on SSC

of very little relevance now that we've almost completed our season at Wembley but I thought the PA acoustics were pretty awful in the stadium. They were especially poor when the woman was speaking last Saturday couldn't understand a word she said.
The volume during the warm up was painfully high. And I like my music loud, but having to bellow at the person sat next to you so you can be heard is ridiculous.of very little relevance now that we've almost completed our season at Wembley but I thought the PA acoustics were pretty awful in the stadium.
