edmonton: Official position is it will be ready early August. There is a brilliant card to play if it all goes wrong.
Presumably the NFL pitch will be ready. We just apply to the FA for a few rule changes.

Can only imagine this is an assurance we could start at Wembley and change. Unless he’s just referring to away games at start.
The card to play is more likely PR than a contingency plan, as an agreement to play away from home before the international break has already been widely reported.

It’s against PL rules to play in two stadiums. Other clubs would be in uproar.

Is it though?

Scudamore said so but I once looked up the section on it in the premier league rule book and couldn’t find it (that’s not to say it’s not there btw).

Also, there is a rumour that it is possible to play in two grounds apparently if a certain number of premier league chairman agree to it. It doesn’t have to be a majority. Maybe it’s this?

It's against the rules to rotate between different stadiums. e.g. We couldn't play matches against the other top 6 clubs at Wembley and the rest at NWHL.

However we could change our home venue from Wembley to NWHL midseason if two thirds of the other PL clubs agree to it.

Scudamore was talking out of his arse.

The premier league is goverened by the chairmen not scudamore. If they decide by a 2/3 majority to change the rules the rules change. Not to say they will for us but if there was a terrorist attack at say the emirates in novemeber i bet you a million pound they could play some of their games at another stadium.

I don't really have a million pound.

I think, in that particular case, it might be better to just cancel all their fixtures for a few seasons. Just to be safe.

The whole point of not changing stadiums mid season is to rule out playing the top 6 games at Wembley for more profit which is obviously ridiculous and the more important to have a level playing field. So basically if we had to play Liverpool at Wembley and then united at WHL would one feel they’d had a disadvantage. It’s very minimal in 1st season while still getting used to WHL imo.

If safe standing was introduced how would that actually work with ST that have already been sold as it’s been sold as a seat ? And how would the new ST be sold in the safe standing areas as I believe 1.8 k would then be available. Would you just get a row number you can stand in as opposed to a seat number ?

I wouldn't worry about that, we'll see Hailey's Comet come around again before we see the FA approve safe standing.
