Seems a tad expensive for a Plan B.The card isn't us buying Wembley, is it? https://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/football/43906272

Almost certainly would. No other reason Shahid Khan would want to own Wembley. Sounds like the NFL have screwed us over.If sold, could this scupper Levy's plans to host an NFL franchise?

We have a 10-year deal to host 2 games per year. Mattspur asked about the (speculated) franchise, I.E. a full-time London team that'd play 8-12 games per year at our ground permanently. Not sure how you work that out we have a 10 year deal in place.
10 years isn't a long time. Every chance they could use the contract with the NFL at NWHL as a test period to see if the UK retains its interest in the NFL. If so I can see them preferring Wembley. Not sure how you work that out we have a 10 year deal in place.
How far down the line are we looking before the London franchise potentially gets introduced? We have a 10-year deal to host 2 games per year. Mattspur asked about the (speculated) franchise, I.E. a full-time London team that'd play 8-12 games per year at our ground permanently.
If Wembley is sold, it could happen within 2-3 years, with the Jacksonville Jaguars moving to Wembley and 2 other showpiece games not involving them each year at NWHL. Going by the fact Khan's put in a formal offer and the NFL has an instant official statement it sounds like they know about this and are willing to sanction the move. They aren't buying a stadium for £800m and briefing to the press that it'd mean no "soccer" matches there at all in the Autumn (with England having to go on tour elsewhere in the country) to host just a couple of games. How far down the line are we looking before the London franchise potentially gets introduced?

If the deal goes through you can forget about Chelsea using Wembley. A pitch share between a Premier League team and a NFL team on a natural grass surface is impossible. Can’t see it being good news for our future NFL hopes. On the plus side it might scupper Chelsea being able to use Wembley.

Seems ludicrous that we would change our stadium design to include NFL specific changing room on the off chance they might only play two games in our Stadium a year. Add to that the expense of the retractable pitch. Levy is not that stupid.
