While I love the look of the stadium, I can't help but wish the glass was less green and more like the renders..
Once the "veil" of movable shutters goes on fully, you won't see much of the tinted glass.

I don't know a great deal about it but I am sure I have heard in the past that glass is one of those things that is difficult to get in the colour you want and when you have large amounts it has a habit of being/looking green. Just one of those things I guess. While I love the look of the stadium, I can't help but wish the glass was less green and more like the renders..
Apologies, I'll deleteNot sure where you meant to post this, but definitely not the right place...
Spoke with one of the old White Hart Lane stewards at the game yesterday, gave me an update on the new stadium - (hence massive pinch of salt required).
Built is currently behind schedule and looking for first few games being played away from home. Depending on the champions league draw may need to play the first game at Wembley. Looking likely no games at new WHL before 20th September.

There's also no reason why a WHL steward would know anything about the construction schedule of the new stadium. No offence Matty but it sounds like that guy was talking out of his arse.

There’s different levels of stewards. They’re not all minimum pay students looking for beer money. Some of them are quite in with the club. There's also no reason why a WHL steward would know anything about the construction schedule of the new stadium.
That's right and he invited me alongLevy mentioned the test events in his letter before the game. We’re going home. It will be fine. You may have to have a piss without some fancy tiling being completed.
Steward: “So, all on schedule then? When do you need me back?”Chris cowling was saying on his video that everything seems to be on schedule as he regularly talks to people involved. We probably will ask for the first couple of games to be played away just to cover ourselves anyway.
He also said that we have organised a test event for august.

I suspect that we are going to play the first few games away because we arranged that just in case even though I don't think it is strictly necessary now, maybe stewards have been made aware of that and put two and two together.
That's what I was thinking. Plus the international break September 3rd to 11th means we are probably looking at Saturday 15th September at the earliest for the first match? Can't see it being a Friday evening game (but I don't know very much about anything so it probably will be)
First test event is booked in for august 18th.
NoReally need to crack on with the roof panels now.
The cassette installation by its very nature is one of the most dangerous phases of the build, it is a slow, methodical process by design.
It also doesn’t stop much other work from going on, aside from in the area around and beneath the install.
We just played 38 away games! 4 more's not going to make much of a difference.Ah thanks I hadn't seen the test event date. That's the second weekend of the season, isn't it?
I meant first league match could be the weekend of 15th/16th September. Even if we were confident of finishing in time, I'm sure we would still have requested the first couple of matches to be away just in case. I didn't realise there were four matches before the international break, though. That's quite a few to play away!
We will find out a month today, I guess!
