edmonton: Problem is no-one can be 100% certain, like almost everything else in life. The issue is the roof and should it be really windy then no work on it can take place.

basically, the project is not ahead of schedule, otherwise there would be wriggle room. It is on schedule or slightly behind, but with not long left anything that would constitute a week or so of delay is going to be very significant.

Weather looks fine next couple weeks. They still managed to finish 3 sections last night in extreme fog. I’d wager roof be done by end of June.

Please be roman deciding fuck it i can't get a visa so lets just get my money back from chelsea.

I think what it means is its fucking difficult getting anything bigger than a shed built in that part of london, so we're gunna leave it for a bit then move the ground to a cheaper locale. Have a feeling, anyway.

Problem is the fans still own the pitch so they can't move without the fans permission and i doubt they'd want to move to a cheaper locale.
They had the planning permission. All that seemed left was the right to light for a neighbours garden holding it up. They even bought a factory to make bricks to ensure supply.
Nah there is more to it. Roman has limited his investment for a while and wanted investors to help pay for the stadium. I think he's had enough. At least i hope so.

Russia has the world cup so it is job done. He fulfilled his obligation to putin of buying a club to get influence.

From Wikipedia:
The Stamford Bridge freehold, the pitch, the turnstiles and Chelsea's naming rights are now owned by Chelsea Pitch Owners, a non-profit organisation in which fans are the shareholders. The CPO was created to ensure the stadium could never again be sold to developers. As a condition for using the Chelsea FC name, the club has to play its first team matches at Stamford Bridge, which means that if the club moves to a new stadium, they may have to change their name.

Yeah forgot they owned the freehold. Must be Roman, then.

Everyone is discussing it in the chelsea thread. Might aswell take the conversation there instead of derailing this one.

Happy days though.

With the inside bowl really starting to take shape, I've found myself surprised about how much White Hart Lane DNA there is in the new place. The gradient of the lower stands for instance. It's recognisable and different at the same time. I look at the pictures and it has an electric atmosphere and it's empty and not finished. Something about it is new, but reminiscent of the past and of the club's heritage.

I'm going to call it now and say the club couldn't have done a better job if it tried. Yes we'll be paying it off for years, but what an achievement to be honest.

Im pretty sure there is a rule stating that you cant play in more than one stadium in one season but it may be just UEFa
True but I believe they will give special dispensation in extraordinary circumstances if they have a mind to, that said I don't believe for one minute that we'll need to invoke it.
