There’s something that’s been bothering me about the roof. How come the main grey panels and the glass panels aren’t flush. There seems to be a step up to the glass panels. I thought they’d be next to each other.
I see what you mean. I know nothing about construction, but my first thought was drainage. Maybe it's designed so that there are no drips falling off the ends onto the crowd/players below? I'm quite sure i'm way off the mark! There’s something that’s been bothering me about the roof. How come the main grey panels and the glass panels aren’t flush. Looks like there’s 3 teams working on them nowWow did those cassettes go in fast! I feel like the last I remember there were only 4-5 installed!
Anyone know what is at the very top of the south stand roof ? Looks like a plinth for something? Not in the original images?

I believe you can abseil down from there when you do the sky walkI was wondering the same thing. I can't see it in the mock up images either. I wonder if a new cockerel (or the old one) will go there? and its one of those tweaks that was mentioned in that post a couple pages back.
Edit: beaten above

I've just grabbed some shots of the details we did, there's quite a lot more work to go on! There is nothing sitting on top of the panels, how they're installed is how they'll be.I'd think that there are additional layers of build-up to be applied to the solid panels, including the roofing membrane and anything that has to go below that, whereas the clear panels, by definition, have to have nothing on top of them, or they wouldn't be translucent.
EDIT: I see from the video that the eaves detail also projects above the opaque panels, which supports my suspicion.
The old WHL was better than the emiratesFind it highly amusing that after just over 10 years NWHL is gonna be so much better than the emirates and there’s absolutely nothing they can do about it for another 100 years ?
