BT Sport reporting that a decision as to whether we go back to Wembley for some games has been postponed until this Friday after the fixtures have been announced. Decision was due before the fixtures come out

Been racking my brains over this for a really long time and I’m not sure if it’s actually been answered...

How are they going to hide the tray rails on the NFL pitch? Surely they can’t be exposed?
It hasn't been definitively explained, but the best guess seems to be that strips of turf covering the rails will be removed whenever the pitch needs to be wheeled into the stadium.

It’s not a guess you can see them laying the AstroTurf on live cam 6. There’s clearly removable strips over the rails.

I think the 48 hour delay is interesting. It can’t be to do with stadium progress nothing will change in 48 hours. Maybe it is to tie in with a naming rights announcement. So they can on Friday tweet we are glad to confirm spurs 1 st home game at the xxxxxxxx stadium will be on ?

I can't see it being tied to Naming rights. I guess, 2 days possibly for Levy to negotiate more on sidelines with other clubs on a agreement of some sort. Or possibly, we want to see who we face given the fixture is coming out on Thursday and then make a call for the Wembley game or go for the 4th away game.

So if there’s just a thin strip of removable turf over the rails with maybe an inch or two of padding underneath, won’t it feel different to walk/run/get tackled on those sections? It looks like the turf without rails underneath has rather deep padding below it, at least 6 inches or so.

Expect DOH ratings. I asked the same the other day...

Probably because people have been asking nearly every other day for weeks. It has been answered a lot and the same video posted numerous times.

I didn't doh anyone just explaining.

If the video actually answered the question, instead of simply animating the principle of the tray movement, perhaps people would've stopped asking it.

As they're now laying the turf, the matter will no doubt shortly be laid to rest.

Remember reading they can sort to be flush.

Think they talked about it a bit on Skyscraper City.

I read every post on SSC and there is just as much uncertainty there. All I do know is that the method of covering the rails will be revealed soon and, I can predict with complete confidence, that the design will be fit for purpose just like everything else involved with this outstanding project.

I don't think it is clear at all.
There are white tram lines stuck on the grey 'underlay', but they do not seem to align with where the rails are, although it hard to judge well with lens distortion.
There is just about a rail under the one thick white sideline, I beleive, but that strip doesn't have to be secured that well - if the officials sometimes trip, who cares? And that strip was marked out with black tape so it is different anyway...

So here's a thought - rather than a thin strip over the rails, perhaps the thin strips go between wide rolls of astroturf to align them over the rails. After all you'd want the material that is only temporarily secured to be as heavy as possible, to keep it from kicking up. And the thin strips can be properly and permanently stuck down.
And wide rolls of carpet might be able to be folded over itself (with care) to expose the rails, and so there would be only 1 edge to secure each time.
I've convinced myself anyway....

Looks like they've just put the final roof cassette onto the south stand. It's amazing how quickly they're getting this roof up.

Does anybody know if another layer has to go over the cassette, or is that it, once they've filled in the gaps?

What you see is it, there are three 'details' to be installed, one between the curved eaves and the outer ring of the cassettes, one between the inner ring and glass sections and one over the gaps between each row of cassettes which will hold a cable tray as well.

Didn't someone say yesterday the final roof panels had been installed now? Have there been any pictures?
