If people are moaning that they won't be able to see the south stand obviously arnt going to the game for the right reason! I watch what's on the pitch not the stands!

Lol all he did was point out a poor design flaw in his opinion

I actually agree having the screen block a lot of the view bar the pitch isn’t great as especially in a brand new stadium but also as they wanted a extra corporate area above the pitch that prob was the only place to put them.

Edit: obviously once you see it in a real view it might not be that bad.

1st week back working at the site since March and tbh it’s not progressed as much as I thought it would have inside and still los of work to do on the outside.
Can’t see it being ready for the Liverpool game 12th September

It's not a flaw so much as a compromise, they could have used smaller screens but NFL, they could have put them higher up but that'd mean a higher roof which would mean compromising/detriment on the acoustics/fan atmosphere which they didn't want to do.

Personally when you see a worker standing up there you get a proper scale of the thing I think it's not going to be too much an issue.

Third world problems innit.

I think our stadium is as close to perfect as it can possibly be. We are as close to the pitch as we're allowed, the rakes are apparently at their legal limit for a new build. Single tier. Second largest club stadium in England, we have the best fans. It'll be a cracking atmosphere. Aesthetically, it's pretty sexy! It will give the 'pool and goon fans something more to hate us for.

Agree with all this. I really hope they nailed the acoustics. A big deal was made of it in the design stage. If they have it will encourage the fans to sing their hearts out even more. We are the 12th man and it would be fucking great if it becomes the nosiest stadium in the league.

Yes compromise is probably the correct term.

Im surprised as I thought in the last month the outside has come along so much.

Obviously bar the odd pic by spurs the inside is hard to gauge as it’s probably the north stand inside that looks finished and they are using those to show us

About 1/3 of the building is open and the turnstiles areas need a lot of work.
Aren’t we supposed to have 2 arranged events in August?
Can’t see how that’s going to happen

Doesn't this not just depend on what they need to test/get certificates for, or does it not work like that?

Heard half an hour ago that the brand new stadium for tonight’s match is sinking into a swamp and won’t be able to be used past short term. Now that’s a design flaw!

Everyone moaning about the video screen obstructing the view of the south stand, has obviously never sat behind the goal in the top tier of Old Trafford. The view from there is hell of lot worse, it's like watching the game through a letterbox
top tier of the anfield road end at Liverpool. You cannot see the goal unless you bend down almost double if you are at the back. All adds to the enjoyment

what I meant was do you or anyone know the price at the same height, but not having the screen blocking anything?

Upper tier Block 519 row 20 clear view of pitch but screen blocking out much of the stadium costs £975 with diagonal view of pitch. Block 515 row 20 (same height) clear views, no screen in the way of stadium , directly behind north goal upper tier cost £950
