About 1/3 of the building is open and the turnstiles areas need a lot of work.
Aren’t we supposed to have 2 arranged advents in August?
Can’t see how that’s going to happen
You deffo know more than me about construction but the club know far more than you about the stadium. It's getting boring people saying they've seen the site or know someone who's seen the site and then say 'Oh it's not going to be ready'. The club has test events planned, has already been conservative through not getting a game played there until September, and I'm pretty sure they know what they are doing. If we needed more games to be played at Wembley, we would've done it. It's almost certainly the case that we cannot change our fixture plans past the deadline that was already extended.

The club setting out such an exact timetable of test events etc. is taking a great risk with the business and public opinion..

Look I could be wrong, time will tell if it will be ready or not.
It’s an amazing stadium it’s not the end of the world if we have to wait a few more months for it worst case

It’s the main contracts company line to say” the project is on time and will be completed on such and such date” it’s what they always say.
There will be a back up plan no doubt where test events and the opening would be put back.

I was thinking the exact same thing. “My mate wot works as a brickie/electrician, well he reckons it ain’t not gunna ‘appen”... Dondo is that mate.

The stadium web cams are a PRs dream.

Steve Nash randomly doing some joinery, Klinsmann in a deckchair enjoying a German-style beer, Ledley playing chess against Levy, Teddy dressed as a clown and juggling, Adele with a surprise acoustic performance etc... get it done Spurs.

The kids'll love it - and I will to.

Upper tier Block 519 row 20 clear view of pitch but screen blocking out much of the stadium costs £975 with diagonal view of pitch. Block 515 row 20 (same height) clear views, no screen in the way of stadium , directly behind north goal upper tier cost £950

ok well that answers the question, was really hoping it was the other way round, but as has been mentioned your there for the match, not to see whats happening in the kop

The big problem with the seats behind the screens is not that you can't see the other stands.
It is when the people in front of you stand up, then you probably can't see a thing.

I have a clear view of the game , a clear view of at least two screens and no interest in the south stand. (y)

Goalposts being installed today. Disappointed they didn't have Levy literally moving the goalposts in the photo with a sly smile.
A MondoTurf pitch it is then. Maybe.

Mondo do every kind of artificial sports flooring you can think of from Football to ice hockey (really), and have laid an NFL pitch - the uni-dome, University of Northern Iowa, (although that may have recently been replaced by FieldTurf.)

I can't find much info on that NFL pitch - They do 2 types of more modern rugby pitches though:
Dual AS EF
4NX AS FTE

Dual has an elastic grey underlay made from polyethylene foam and 'holds it's infill well'.
4NX has a grey rubber granule shock-pad underlay and interestingly also has encapsulated SBR technical infill.

https://www.mondoworldwide.com/brochure/brochure_en/#73/z

I think the 4NX is more shock absorbent of the 2, so I guess that is the safer surface for NFL.
I don't know what encapsulated infill is, but it might mean it is is bonded to the 'grass' fibres.
That might answer my earlier question on how they can have infill when sections are being lifted all the time.

Another interesting thing is the shock-pad layer is made of black granules that looks like asphalt.
That black layer between the rails could well an additional layer of this material, for extra safety.

Or I could be completely wrong. That too is an option.

To be fair I can't imagine persistent standing is going to be an issue in the North Upper of all places - certainly wasn't back at the Lane when I had a ST there years ago.

I'm pretty sure you're right about the black layer, as it would be quite unlikely they'd lay asphalt beneath a sports surface, as when it's hot it can deform. The black layer looked like the sprung surface you get in kids play parks to absorbs falls.

“1/3 of the building is open” what do you mean by that ? Not watertight ? If that’s what you mean we can all see from exterior. North and most of West is and probably half of south now and half of east. So personally I’d say about 25%. We’ve all seen how quickly the panels and glazing can go in. I’d be very surprised if the building wasn’t 100% exterior all closed off in 6 weeks bar the veil maybe.

If by 1/3 open you mean 1/3 of interior is finished. That would be 1/3 done in a year. Which sounds highly unlikely and would mean they have 2/3 to finish in 3 months. And tbh you sound pretty vague for someone working in the project. I’d imagine everyone involved knows exactly when the test events are.

When I said the building is 1/3 open I meant the glass panelling is not in for the walls.
The main contractors do not give the workers a constant update on test events and finishing dates
