Maybe it's my eyesight, but the rails for the soccer pitch trays seem to be elevated from the US football pitch. I wonder if the rails are on pistons so that, once any movement of the soccer pitch is completed, the rails lower, thereby enabling a standard thickness of NFL plastic grass.

Anyone?

Nope, the rails were fixed down to the concrete slab and then cast in to a concrete upstand.

I don't understand why everyone is so defensive in this thread, like the Guardians of NWHL in here

Either it will be ready or it won't be, chill the fuck out.

It will be. You bastard! Don't you dare imply that it may not be.

If they forget to turn off the stadium cams for the opening game people will get to watch it online for free.

It’s official, I've got nothing left to say about the building site.

There is no way they'd tamper with the rail positioning at this stage after they have successfully tested that the trays can roll in and out without jamming.
But there is something on the carpet, above the rails, or so it looks.

The pitch camera is currently down, but I guess we'll find out soon enough, when an installer accidentally tweets a close up of what it is, while taking a picture of their new trainers or something.

Yes, of course, I was just wondering if the rails were fixed or on pistons, but with the weight of the trays they'd have to be fixed. I just wondered how thick the NFL pitch will be above the rails!

Was chatting today to a couple of workmen who are fitting out the boxes at the stadium. They said it’s a bit of a nightmare working there. Too many trades getting in each other’s way, said it was chaos. In their opinion they said it looked miles off. They are both spurs fan btw
