Hate lunchtime games so that’s a bit annoying. Also wanted to come a lot earlier than usual being out first game in the new stadium.
more time to stay behind after the game and sample all the new food and bar outlets - win win situation as far as I'm concerned

I agree. Can’t see the club being too chuffed missing out on all the food and drink sales. Less boozing time.

Plus I wanted to take the wife now but probably can’t because of childcare issues.

When you say you saw a video, was that in the public domain or some kind of private situation? If the former, can you share?!

Nah was just on the adverts between the GP practice on sky. Made me sit up and take notice though.

The turnstiles look a bit unconventional. I wonder why they are so open and if its something to do with that facial recognition software we heard about a few weeks ago?

Possibly these are for the "posh" seats. Club Wembley has similar ones, whereas the GA turnstiles at Wembley are the normal full height ones

Yeah thats probably the case. Else they'd just get people without tickets jumping over those in the normal seats.

Is there a televised game on afterwards?

They wanted fans staying behind watching the late game (spending money :D ) it's a good test of the place see it all works as intended

There'll be all the 3pm games it's illegal to broadcast on the UK, so presumably they'll have Soccer Saturday on - fixtures are Chelsea-Cardiff, City-Fulham, and Newcastle-Arsenal. Then Watford-United at 5.30.

First team friendly away on 4th August would suggest the test event on 5th will not feature first team players. May well be the rumoured ladies fixture.

I don't know if this has been covered already, but I've noticed there is a distinct lack of 'Spurs Font' that Dalton Maag were commissioned to make when the new 'branding' was done when ENIC took over.

It's on the outside, with the "To Dare is to do" wording, and obviously everywhere else up to the new stadium fit out (the building next door, for example), but there's now a distinct lack of that branding anywhere in the interior fittings that I can see, and especially on the new official website.

The interior signwriting seems to use 'Apex New', which has been around for 12 years or so now, and doesn't look like a commissioned variant of it, so I'm not sure if this suggests that we're expecting a new branding soon?

Only thing it suggests is that you need to get out more mate (y)

I know where I’m going the next time my ‘what the font’ app draws a blank.
