I think they're getting ready to put the skywalk steels they removed a while ago back in and will use the gaps for cherry picker access

When we see estimates (e.g 850m) bandied about for the cost of the stadium is that purely for the cost of the stadium or for the complete Northumberland Park project including hotel, apartments etc ?

Not sure anyone really knows apart from Daniel. Makes a good story for the papers as they do tend to exaggerate..
The borrowing arranged by the club is 400m and financed by three banks. So I am presuming that whatever it costs our debt will be no more than that figure. No doubt the apartments etc will offset that amount when it all gets sorted.

Have there been any details given about the pitch? Ie, is it being grown in a top secret location and do we know how long it needs to bed in before use? From other new stadiums (Wembley springs to mind and also the Singapore National Stadium) they had massive issues with the pitch when it was first laid. Hopefully we won't have the same problem!
My turf supplier (I run a landscape company) was delivering to the Player Accom block in Hotspur Way in the The early summer.

I would imagine same supplier. The turf is grown in the Fens. With all turfing it is all to do with the prep. Turf will grow on 4” of soil.

It occurs to me that there's a certain symmetry at the moment between watching the current race to finish the stadium in time, and our activity in the transfer window. While you have to admire the work done by the club in both getting to this point in the build, and assembling our talented squad, you can't help but sit there and yell, "Get a fucking move on" in both scenarios! LOL.

Could be wrong but looks like astro, probably for the edges. Sure someone mentioned that for the first tray.
Yup, it's astro around the ends. As someone else also said, there's 4" of earth to be put on the trays before turf apparently.

And yet the perception of how far away from finished each are is probably a lot closer than it appears (y)

"Luxury. Executive. Complimentary. Premium."

Are there really people out there who respond with interest or enthusiasm to these words? If so, who the fuck are they trying to impress?

They all spell "bullshit" when I see them. I work in housing development. Every new project, whether it's in Mayfair or Canning Town, is "luxury".

The moment I see the word, I immediately know I'm in cliché-bullshit-land. Doesn't everyone? I guess not...
