Now that's what I call important news!

I'm guessing this is the fitting-out: installing the brewing equipment, signage, serving stations, etc. I think the space has been constructed and finished already, some time ago.

Exactly that, they've fitted out a few breweries round this way so they know what they're doing..hopefully

A missed opportunity?

No reason they can't be added later. Might be cheaper to wait after brexit as the eu has quite high tarriffs against chinese solar panels i believe. They are the world leaders at the moment.

Top soil layer nearly done, can’t wait to start seeing some green. Less than a month to get the pitch ready, he grounds man have their work cut out.

Not really lincoln took a week to relay their pitch when we played them. Not saying it will be done in a week but 6 weeks is plenty of time.

I understand our pitches are different, the pitch at WHL was never laid, it was threaded like a sewing machine. There were two big machines at each end of the pitch.

I saw it first hand, was incredible.

Just seen Forest Green Rovers are 'Carbon Neutral' and have solar panels on their stand roof.

Just struck me that I've not notice any eco-aspects of the new stadium, which is odd. Surprised Levy wouldn't pay out for some equipment to harvest free electric.

If I remember rightly, solar panels were mentioned at the planning meeting, with the club stating that they were’nt viable due to weight and cost, or something like that.

As i said we can do something later on if weight and cost come down. Technology is improving for solar at a rapid pace, who knows what it will be like in 5-10 years.

Wouldn't surprise me if in a few years all of those glass panels are replaced with solar glass...

Yea surprised our roof isn’t all solar panels tbh

Those big screens going to cost a lot to run

There's some well-advanced research that will enable functioning PV "panels" to be painted onto surfaces. That sort of technology can be retrofitted. There are also glazing panels that double as PVs. It isn't all going to be about propping up south-facing stand-alone panels at 45º in the future. The external surfaces of the building will generate energy.

I wouldn't be surprised to see PV panels on the roofs of the housing and hotel, though.

someone on ssc asked donna about the speaker placement, obstructing the view of the screens etc
reply was
”we are looking at this - the roof height / weight needs to settle too - may be something we have to do at the end of the season but definitely on our radar regards D”

Especially after this summer.

Really wont know till we get in there but from the pictures looks like you'll be able to see at least one screen without being obstructed. View of the pitch is fine though which is what counts.

Just hope that the whole sound system is better than the one they use at Wembley which is horrendous to listen to.

Did anyone understand a single word Maradona said, or rather his interpreter. It was just noise where I sit.

I think they will actually put the trays back under the podium once done, today i predict, and leave it open for tomorrows staff event. Imagine we'll see the trays out and grass laid about 18/19th in readiness for academy game 27th.
