An FA official said: “Spurs have taken up the option to come to Wembley for a number of Premier League home games and the home games in the group stage of the Champions League.

“However, it is still their intention to play their home games at White Hart Lane after the Fulham game (at Wembley).”

Good clickbait headline though.

A few more media places are now running this...... unless its just copying the same story but this does not look good! especially with the Test event meant to be in 2 weeks and no tickets sorted for that

IF that is true, it sounds like there might be some substance to the Twatter rumours. I can't see Levy giving the FA more money if he didn't have too, at best it sounds like the deadline to have it "ready" for Liverpool is even closer for comfort than we thought.

I do think that with the failure to add to the squad and the lack of information about the stadium for a few weeks, now is the time to give us an update.

When will the 2 test events go on sale?
When will the Liverpool match go on sale?

HOW finished will it be on Sept 15th?

It's spin. Just read the story, it's obvious from the wording.

THFC has taken up the option to play at Wembley, to cover eventualities. An option agreement means a payment to reserve the dates if they are required.

The press has spun this into stories that heavily imply that the matches will be played at Wembley. But 'A' does not indicate 'B'. All they've done is to cover their arses against something going wrong between now and 15 Sept. There is no commitment to play at Wembley.

hertyid: Club still expects Liverpool game at WHL, just bought the option for Wembley to avoid any major issues including fines and points deductions down the road.

Agreed, either way they have to tell us. The the longer they put it off, the worse the fall out will be. The radio silence on the issue will be deafening.

The best thing the Club could do now is put out a statement saying they still intend to have first home game on 15th but the Wembley option is a backup plan in case of any unexpected delays as the deadline so tight AND provide more details on the test event for the bank holiday, how the ballot will work, what the attendance will be etc which would ease peoples concerns a little.

A mate of mine works on the stadium and he told me on Saturday that he would be shocked if it was ready for Liverpool.

Nobody expects it to be completed. It probably wont be completed till next year. What we hope is that it will be ready to play a football game in for the liverpool game.
Have you ever moved into a house that was completed? Or has it taken a while to redecorate and add touches here and there?

Probably

Like the TW, no one apart from the club really knows, everyone else is just guessing or just trying to be a know it all

If we have to play 1 CL game at Wembley, we have to play all home CL games at Wembley this year, right? I still hope the stadium will be ready but doubt is settling in
