Wow this is an absolute mess. Imagine the compensation with the nfl, no doubt they were promised some big fanfare.

CL matchday three is 23/24 October.
Matchday four is 6/7 November.

Can easily see the stadium not being ready for matchday four let alone three
Man City game TBC shows that matchday 3 is really not viable tbh.

3 years of qualifying for the CL only to play all 3 years at Wembley. First year in our new ground - Europa League. Only Spurs

They can shove Wembley up their arses. I refuse to go to any Wembley games. Well maybe if its a final but then its on the proviso we win. Sick of going there.

Annoying...feck yeah. But we've got to have this stadium spot on.

If I'm honest, I didn't really like the idea of the Scouse maybe scoring the first goal in our new stadium. They're unbearable enough already.

Let's get this completed to a standard that will wow all the assembled media whence ready.

Everyone is going to slag off the club but let's face it, they were trying to shoot the moon doing it all with 1 season at Wembley. Any delay was likely to breach the deadline.

They really tried to give us want we wanted but it was just too much.

What is with the club this summer!

Can't see us being in there until the new year at least, if the FA allow us to wait that long

Have I stumbled back into the ITK discussion thread? A lot bed wetting going on in here.

We always knew the schedule was tight so this isn't exactly a big shock. We'll be playing in the new stadium when it's ready and that will be this season.

Until then can we try to put some of the tantrums on the back burner?

I'm staying neutral. Thought for 3 weeks that it wouldn't surprise me if it wasn't fit for purpose for the 15th.
That's not saying I don't thibk it'll be done. Just that an announcement wouldn't be a shock.

Some people here are getting very angry and dismissive because the story came from the Sun.
It's a joke of a paper but they get more right than some of the stuff you all believe. All the "journalists" have real names and faces and can be held accountable for lying.

If the Man City game gets played at Wembley, then we could be looking at Chelsea being the first league visitors to the new ground. That would be, ahem, interesting.

Wasn't Ben the only ITK who claimed that the stadium wouldn't be ready before November?

Like many other people, I've paid a shit load of money, upfront, for a season ticket to a stadium I have no idea when will be ready...

I'm fucking fuming. Where has the communication been from the club? If they even dare try to "refund" me with 'credit' again...

In all honesty im happy its been delayed. Whilst it isnt complete I dont think it would have felt like home but rather a building site. What would piss me the fuck off is if they delay it further.

What does annoy me is that theyre so quick to take our money but never quick to give it back.

I also am a bit concerned that all this is costing money which basically makes our transfer coffers even smaller if not non existent.

To be honest, I’d rather play Chelsea than Man City for our first game. We’ll have a better chance of winning our first game in the stadium that way. Plus Chelsea is almost guaranteed to be a hell of a game.
