Worryingly as far as I’m concerned the NFL have had way way too much exposure from us in this whole build

Some of the brochures etc were embarrassing. More moch ups with NFL logos than Cockerels!
I bet the NFL has a get out clause...

Shad Khan must be laughing. Looks like his new shiny Wembley will be getting 2 more games a season over the next 10 years.

At least we'll have a nice unused plastic surface underneath. Mint condition. Maybe we could get QPR or Luton to play on it for rent...

They can’t replace the football markings with the NFL markings in 24 hours. It’s one of the reasons why we’ve put down a dedicated artificial surface for NFL games at the new stadium.

That's what I thought.

JJ said it will definitely be ready for Liverpool, so that's enough for me.

Can we stop the dependency and reference to these sources being the only truth now folks?

Look, I've never even been up there and I can guarantee everyone that loads of areas and features will be unfinished and unusable on 15 Sept. It's just the way it goes in development. You sort out the critical stuff so you can open on time, or sell the flats if it's residential. The rest follows on later.

It will not be "finished". I don't bet, but if I did...

It will almost certainly be "ready" to play a football match, unless something unexpected goes wrong between now and then.

Guarantee.....
What happened to the "there definitely is smoke without fire" post too?

hertyid: Club still expects Liverpool game at WHL, just bought the option for Wembley to avoid any major issues including fines and points deductions down the road.

I do appreciate what you do for this forum.
As per other one at the top, others all need to stop hanging on these.
It's making people argue way too much.

Since when did anyone believe anything Neil Ashton and the Sun says FFS?!?!

He’s just shit stirring. It’s nothing we didn’t know already.

I bet he's right more often than he's not.

Are people really citing the sun as a credible information source? Amazing, they belong tin the same bin as the daily heil!

Yes. Because they're a news paper that actually get some things right occasionally.

They NAILED this one. Put two of the best ITKs in their box too.

People have paid thousands, have had 40% increases in the price of their season ticket and now 3/19 games are at a neutral ground with a further game in the balance. It also looks like we won't have Champions League football in our own stadium for the third year running.

Fans are perfectly entitled to be pissed off when the club have been quick enough to take our money off us, delayed refunding 'credit', delayed refunding new season ticket holders their membership fees and fans having to rely red top newspapers to hear the news. Everyone has been more than patient with this whole process and the whole communication from the club has been disgusting imo.

More than patient? The club have tried to build a brand new stadium in less than 2 years. We've had ONE whole season away from our own stadium. Listen, I understand why people are upset but you pay for season tickets up front and the terms & conditions are there to warn you about possible change.

Equally this has been discovered today around safety issues and club have communicated immediately.

I know I'll get hammered by most of you but surely there were always going to be risks and difficulties with such an ambitious project. You'll have to wait a month or two longer but you pay to watch your team play. Granted some more games will now be at Wembley but still, i just feel like some are acting like the club are doing this on purpose just for The fun of it.

Why offer ST holders the opportunity to go gold last week knowing full well what was going on??? Only reason a statements been released is because the press got wind. Communications absolutely woeful! To me the Statement seems more concerned with the NFL than announcing anything regarding the 42,000 ST holders paying the highest prices world football. Embarrassing all round
It was a statement that was clearly half complete and was only released because someone leaked whats happened to Neil Ashton. They meant to work on it and soften it up a bit for the fans for the set release date on friday afternoon at 5pm. But there hand was forced by Neil Ashton.

To say I'm pissed off about this an understatement. I hated going to Wembley last season and now have to do it at least 3 more times this season

While i fully understand that projects the size of the new stadium are prone to delays, this last week has left me feeling disillusioned with the club.

But the club haven't communicated immediately because the story first broke several hours ago by The Sun.

Thought has just occurred to me, haven't they installed a microbrewery in the new ground? And it won't be able to serve beer on the planned opening date? You can see where I'm going with this can't you?

Only 3 games?...
My optimism has disappeared. I don't believe a fucking word they want to spin now...

To be honest I’m still pissed off that my equivalent WHL seat at the new stadium is part of the NFL tunnel club and off limits for plebs like me.
