Sympathize with season ticket holders and hope the club adequately refunds them. People are rightfully anxious about that, it sucks.

For the stadium itself, its no biggy. This is a stadium that will probably see us through at least 50 years, better to get it right than rush it. Delay's happen all the time, patience is whats important here.

Fully believe that the club was forced to make a statement before they were ready. I also fully believe come the stadium opening all of this will be completely forgotten. A few more games in Wembley is hardly the end of the world.

No one made anybody buy a ST.

We did because we are Spurs supporters and we take the rough with the smooth.
I’m as disappointed as anyone but I will be at Wembley cheering on my team, a team that will still be going when Levy is gone and playing at a stadium that Levy made possible.
It’s a tough crowd in here tonight?

Rough times: "Stop complaining - get out there and support your team ffs. It sucks watching dross on the field in the rain and snow, standing in queues for hours and generally being humiliated by all your plastic mates but that's what supporting your team means. It may last decades but it will make you appreciate the good times all the more. You will have earnt it"

Smooth times: "This is a premium product so f***ing pay up or someone else will. By the way, if things don't go to plan please refer back to how to behave during rough times"

The best thing the club must do right now is to not fanny about any longer and act.
By this i mean make a quick decision on the City game and beyond, the fans deserve to know asap, alot have made travel plans for these matches and spent alot of hard earned cash.

That's not the issue though. THFC released the information that there could be multiple games missed a day after refunds for season tickets expired. The test even was 9 days ago so why is this info being released now?

I swear Jeremy Corbyn was in pic 2 and he had a trowel in his hand even though he said he was at the Cardiff Flower Show. Shocked.

Exactly this.

Ashton didn't get his story form the construction site, he got it from a contact within the FA who tipped him off that we'd exercised our option in the contract.

He can put this out pretty much straight away.

The club will have had to co-ordinate with MACE, Sub-Contractors, the FA, Wembley, Safety inspectors, The Premier League, NFL, probably Liverpool, Cardiff, City (and now UEFA) - before making a statement, and rightly so.

If THFC put it out before doing this, it could have been disastrous with nobody on our side to help us out.

The club were probably planning to take a few days deal with the above and figure out what they're doing with tickets and refunds - so they can tell fans the problem and the solution all in one.

Rather than - we've found a problem - we don't know how long, where we're playing, or what we're doing with tickets yet.

Which seems like what we were forced into this evening.

Superbly stated. Probably a little too common-sensical for many, but nonetheless, well-stated. If that tip did come from the FA (one must ponder the possibility it didn't) then you'd have to ask what is in it for them to do that? Don't like Ashton but cannot fault him for going with the tip-off. Dirty business all round, and leaves me wondering why someone would want to slap us like that?

Isn't just embarrassing on a national scale, it's embarrassing on a international scale now the NFL fixture has been put on hold.

The big problem for me with this is that expectations haven't been kept in check. The club have committed to an extremely tight timeline and a project of this complexity is bound to have a few problems here and there - just one supplier having issues could cause the whole thing to be delayed so it's actually pretty impressive that we've got as far as we have without any major problems.

Although the club have done a great job at being transparent with the building process they have led the fans down a path thinking that we would be good to go for this season, when it looks like it's significantly behind now. I don't blame the club for the delay as it looks like it's nothing to do with them, but I would have much preferred them to say to the fans "we'll be in Wembley for 2 years" so that we could have started in the new stadium next season with it being completely finished, rather than the situation that we have now where we'll be moving into an unfinished stadium 3 months late.

This season had so much potential - new stadium and some big signings - and now the fans are being left very disappointed.

On a personal note, I live overseas these days but am back in the UK for a few weeks in time for the Liverpool game. I was stoked to see that I was able to make it to the first game at the stadium (thanks to my parents having season tickets) but now it looks like I won't make any games at all! Probably won't be back again until the 2019-2020 season. Bummer.

With all the people demanding compo: if we get anything, it's not going to come out of Levy's pocket - it's going to hit the club, biting the hand that feeds.

Just something to think about.

I agree Dougal. Some though it does matter to. Especially those that really don’t like Wembley. I put up with it and will do whatever we do. Some though will not travel again to Wembley - yourself?
I’ll go where I have to go. Wembley is quite local to me but I’ve been to 40-odd grounds to see Spurs so I’m willing to put in the effort just to be there. This will all be over soon. People need to just get on with it.

So instead it comes out of our pockets? My hands feed two kids first and foremost, not some overpaid footballers.

A 'Security failure' sounds far more beliveable rather than 'we're behind on the actual work on finishing in time'. I believe the recent statement from the club is just a smokescreen for being delayed with the building progress. It's easy to blame the system for not working rather than admit that the work has taken more time to finish

Feel bad for the season ticket holders

one of the reasons I can't attend as many games. 3hours before usually meant, a struggle to look after 2 youngish kids, to keep them entertained and visiting the club shop, 1 drink which I was allowed then, and a visit to chick king. by time I got to the ground I'd be in agony

I should of mentioned that they are now old enough to go do everything themselves. 1 of them drives now so hoping while they go shopping they can leave me planted at one of the bars:ROFLMAO:

The club are bang out of order here.
Taking the fans money for season tickets for the new stadium when there was always a slim chance we would be playing many games at WHL this season

I don't believe for one minute DL dared not keep the NFL up tp date with the delays, hence their statement.

As always its us the fans that are left in the dark

Just curious as to how they would have done tickets?

If they didn't do season tickets until the stadium was ready, many would moan about the short time between getting them and the first game.

Also the sale of season tickets generate alot of cash up front for the club to be used for wages. I know it's shit that it's delayed but still think the club had to do it that way.

This is bloody typical of Levy, he really should be interviewed to appease fans fears and questions if he has any balls and respect for us fans.
But at the end of the day building a stadium in the expected timeframe regardless of what was promised was deluded by Daniel. He is smart man regardless of what was being promised.
