They didn’t know there was going to be a delay did they - everyone was working to a set date, did you expect them to take the cash the day before.

We can’t all be as talented as you
You are missing the point but sure have a laugh because you've misinterpreted me.

We paid for 19 games in the new stadium, they have had our money since I think April, maybe May. Clearly this incurs interest at some point. My point is that just turning around, saying sorry, and giving us our money back for the share is not acceptable. There should be a gesture of good will in there.

I’m not sure how it works but for the Fulham game, they refunded 1/19th of the cost of the season ticket but charged the same amount for the ticket for Wembley. Yet the current season ticket was £400 more expensive than the Wembley one. Unless I’m missing something doesn’t that mean we’re being charged the same amount per game despite paying more overall this season?

I’m very possibly wrong but that’s how I saw it.

You get 1/19th of your season ticket this season.
You can then buy last seasons seat at last seasons general match day price (IE, cat B match for Fulham, A for Liverpool, C for Cardiff)
Or you can buy a seat elsewhere in the next window.

Unlike Fulham, you can opt to take the cash out and not go this time.
I just blew £200 on new headphones for the gym to I could do with clawing some cash back :ROFLMAO:

I don't believe for one minute they didn't know there was going to be a delay.
I get that the issue is apparently too serious to work through, but that doesn't explain the lack of activity all around the outside of the stadium for the last few weeks.

Ok - a voucher for the shop I agree would be a nice touch.

Think I agree on that

Again the point people are missing is that the price for a season ticket is discounted. That is part of the motivation of having a season ticket. Having to go and pay standard prices, booking fees and postage fees is again, not acceptable.

hertyid: Last weekend I was with club officials being taken around the stadium, I know these people and trust them. They were very much of the opinion the stadium would be ready. End of last week it became clear there were some major issues around the fire and evacuation systems. Mace came to Levy yesterday and basically said “we got a problem”. It then became clear it was impossible to hold the test events which meant we couldn’t be ready in time for Liverpool. All thee people saying “you could always tell by looking at the stadium it woild

never be finished” are spouting rubbish I’m afraid. Everything else is on time and the stadium would have been complete. There will be no cost to the club, Mace bear responsibility and there are LADs in place, although they will likely try and push down to a subcontractor.

I’ve been on a construction project - it was a nightmare - so many people involved so what I’m saying is it’s not a simple subject.

I say let’s give the club some slack on this - btw, I’m not pro Levy and was furious with transfer window.

At the end of the day, the stadium will be worth the wait. Let’s just get behind club.

I'm fairly easy about when it opens. Wembley isnt the ballache for me that some suggest it is for them.

I just want to be kept informed. We're all stakeholders effectively.

Still waiting to be told why we did diddly squat in the window - from Levy, not jumbled English Poch.

Yeah I think you're right, but tbh I didn't even expect a refund, thought it was just gonna be credit that you had to use for future tickets.
It's still a piss take, but I was expecting worse.

As far as a negative atmosphere is concerned, the only thing I'm liking about the club right now is the team and the manager, they'll be getting my full support, regardless of the way we're treated by the fuckers upstairs.

I can’t remember if my ST last season was £600 or £650 but if it was the latter.... then £650 divided by 19 is £35. £1000 divided by 19 is £52. So really we should be getting our ticket at Wembley plus around £18 extra a match or whatever the equivalent is now. That could be transferred on to a voucher to spend in the club shop or something as a gesture of goodwill at least (or preferably put straight into our bank account).

Like I say I might be missing something but it seems like we’re losing money because of this?

100% agree with getting behind the team. Hopefully no negative chants towards the board either. A win always helps....

What makes the club think they can give us our money back monthly? If they are refunding £x I want that in one lump sum, not drip fed back.

Everyone involved will lose money because of this.

No one can expect to be indemnified against all risks. Getting our money back is pretty good protection though, even if it isn't 100% perfect.

Wonder how much we will fine Mace, normally it's a daily rate and for something like this I'd assume it would be a pretty high figure.

It doesn't mean they're getting you money back in installments you drips.

It means the club will refund the games in batches. Like payroll.
We'll all get our refunds on the same date regardless as to when we request it.

I wonder of on site workers are made to disclose what clubs they support?
This is an emotive project and some people are really fucking thick.

Would you put it past 1 of the 3,000 workers there to be an utter bellend that does things to deliberately hurt the schedule?

But that’s sort of my point, are we getting all our money back? We’re getting some of it yep. If what I’m saying is correct (and I still don’t know if it is or not) then surely fans don’t deserve to lose money. The club or construction firm or whoever’s fault it is for the delay maybe do but fans don’t. Crediting the ticket is the absolute minimum they should do and completely expected. Anything less would cause a bit of an uproar with fans and media alike, whether we like it or not.

It personally doesn’t affect me too much apart from the fact Wembley is a 4/4.5 hour round journey which is a pain in the arse and I hate the place. I’m just trying to work out if we’ve lost some money which, in my opinion of course, would be completely unjust.
