How patronising
I don't know if you have the time to read this but i personally don't think anyone has a fucking clue what the real facts are.. So no need to go into it fella.

A mate post on Facebook last week about he dropped off something at the stadium and everyone was panicing cause it was a month behind and Spurs were paying over the odds to anyone they could find. Now his a West Ham fan, but I think there was some truth, it’s such a complex project there were bound to be a hold up after all we are spurs.

What’s funny was I was going to say thank you to Davidmatzdorf for clearing up the bullshit but before I could his already disliked me.

I've been watching this build from a great distance (literally) and always refer to this site for information when I'm not sure about what I'm seeing on the cameras and there's been plenty of those occasions when this site has helped.

As payback for the info I've received on this site, I'd like to throw in my two bobs worth, not to fuel the fire on this thread but more to encourage those that have info to feel free to weigh-in without ridicule and to those qualified persons, please don't feel put out by my comments - they are not personal. (If moderators think I'm overstepping the mark I'm sure they'll do their job)

I haven't worked on a stadium build but as a Spurs fanatic and certified projects manager I'm fascinated by this unique structure.

Much has been said about workers getting in each others and that may well be true but I guarantee that the majority of workers, have never worked on a project like this, but what appears to be chaos during certain phases, especially fit-outs, is quite normal and if the project is being crashed (extra workers/cash thrown in) then it would appear even worse. They'll survive. Btw, shortage of workers experienced in this field (including project managers) should be taken into consideration when looking at the build.

I truly have no Idea as to why the fire safety systems have failed. I could be that they're simply not finished or as what has been pointed out, wrong coloured cables. It could be sub standard materials, a software problem....honestly, without definite, verified information, we are all in the dark.

Most things mentioned, in my opinion, just don't add up as surely they would have been either known about for some time or should be simply rectified as work proceeds.

If I were forced to give an opinion I'd go for cladding ,flashing bull nosing and any other building element which seals the structure.

Every new build has to have a fire safety control plan submitted at the planning stage. Not my field, but this would involve thigs such as sprinklers, detectors, signs, exits etc, as well as means of controlling the fire regarding heat flames and smoke, which is unburned fuel. Many different methods are used dependant upon the structure eg corridors, fire checking, even fans, but they are designed to work on the finished structure. I have absolutely no idea how ventilation has been designed on this project but I could well see an inspector taking one look and saying, as was mentioned, 'call me when it's ready' ……. thinking to himself. 'it's full of bloody holes!'

Much has been talked about the critical path and it should be said that cpa, cpm, pert, are all important and very useful scheduling tools but I wonder if whether or not the above was considered when entering the data, or was simply, only the actual fire plan installation (time to install sprinklers, signs etc) and paperwork considered?

I hope and very much doubt that I'm right but I consider my point of view worth posting

this is going to get very complicated if the stadium has got the licence then city game ok at NWHL, but group CL games will still be at Wembley if we drawn at home.. which would mean going back to Wembley for CL even though we can play in NWHL
Apparently there is a precedence to this. Paul Hawksbee of talksport said today that Porto played group games in one stadium and knockout in another. So we should be ok if we last that long

It’s certainly ok in the Europa where a Swedish (I think) or Scandinavian team played United at a bigger stadium because the demand was so high. Mind you that was knockout stage.

Mods, been sent a video - no idea if it’s already viral or if people here have seen it - of a guy inside the stadium, referring to us as Y Cs (you get the idea) whilst clearly showing his face.

Is there a recommended route for dealing with something like this?

Ignore it?
Upload it?
Send it privately for you to pass on via the appropriate channels?

I know we need all the help possible, in order to get the damn thing finished, but I’d rather not have some “funny” prick wasting time in there creating videos for his mates.

Interesting comment: All the works are behind inside the stadium. Daniel Levy gave the contract to his brother-in-law for all the interior work ( Base ) that’s what I was told by people inside the stadium. Mace got the exterior and supposedly ain’t that far from completion.

I don't know how anti-trust laws function in the UK but I'm pretty sure they're similar to what we have in Norway and that is not allowed.

Think I saw that one a week or so ago in mainstream media in which case the club will probably already have him polishing the cockerel.

Your point of view was certainly worth posting, particularly in the light of your experience and evident expertise. Unfortunately, having read your post twice, I don't understand what point it was that you were making. This is probably me being obtuse, but I would appreciate it if you would clarify.

Thanks.

So if a team can change stadiums based on demand I assume the rules apply for circumstances such as ours. Thanks for the info

I work in PR, and I feel like they should really bring me in because I know I could do much better crisis comms than them! Absolutely terrible comms team.

Good luck to ya. (y)

They certainly aren't the best at controlling the narrative IMHO although on this issue I sympathise with them slightly in that were forced to be reactive due to the actions of the effing sun of all places. Plus it's the construction industry; delays happen especially on ambitious projects.

They certainly need to make more friends in the print media somehow, if this info was about UTD or 'pool I'd put money on the story not being run until that club had been tipped the wink first. Unfortunately due to a less than Stella TW its "let's kick Tottenham week/month"

PS If you do get hired please ban the wail and the bun from entering our new ground (y)

Hertyid saying the following, he went to the first test event too. It does seem strange is this is indeed the case.

The East Stand is virtually complete. 1st 2nd and 5th floors are done. 3rd and 4th corporate hospitality, directors boxes etc are not yet finished but will be. 5000 seats per day can be installed so remaining would be 6-8 days for full fit. Only South Stand is in need of more substantial works.

There is a lot of hearsay and rumour on this thread since the announcement. I understand why but we need to stay calm and stick to the facts. I can tell you categorically that Levy has not been misleading anyone. Up until the end of last week the build was basically on schedule. The test events would have been with some of the stadium still closed. The Liverpool game would have been a full 62k stadium.
