It’s over folks. Close the thread for 11 months ?

I doubt the reason would be because the stadium would not be ready this season.

I think it more likely other clubs will lose patience with our 'emergency' situation if it runs to months rather than a few games.
They'll point out we have a perfectly good alternative for our home games, and for the integrity of the competition, all our home games should be played there.
They would have a point.

On the other hand, if renting out Wembley for the season means we can't make any signings for a year or 2, then that overly restricts our ability to compete.
The budget was always going to be tight, so the additional penalty of not being able to move into a completed stadium perhaps is too severe in the circumstances.

Would anyone actually be surprised if we dont play there this season? Disappointed and likely angry? Yes. Surprised? I doubt it.

Anyway, its Friday so the time for a friday afternoon news dump is right around the corner. We’ll see what happens. But the line going from 25/1 to suspended betting in a matter of hours is certainly suspicious. You can discount it all you want but odds dont typically move from a long shot to suspended betting in a matter of hours unless there is something to it.

Odds move when people put money on things. It doesn't mean anything. Otherwise we would have had multiple signings this season.

You're such a parody it's unbelievable.

It is obvious that there is going to be a lot of jealousy when the stadium is underway I say this because of the wording of the paddy power statement about the delay; the words used are obviously made to insult and embarrass such as quips about the cheese room and quips about the tunnel club and also the water leak you just know these paddy power people[proberbly Liverpool or MAN Unt fans} as these characters are pretty much what you expect from a gambling firm also fools are into tribalism.
As for taking 25/1 odds on the stadium not opening this year well at that price I would have stuck a tenner had I had known
I for one still believe that it will open in October as planned.
When our new home is up and running I am sure the people employed at paddy power will find something to dig us out on
As for me I like the odd bet but for sure it will not be layed with paddy power.
You have got people on talk shite digging us out;people on sky having a pop and now bookies having a sly dig at a time when we are most vulnerable these firms show all the signs of a bully.
I say they also show all the signs of what poor companies they really are.

Are we able to ban reporter's or the likes of these from The Sun when all is done?. To label it a calamity stadium is sensational. Calamity is continuous delays... We have not had that here.

I believe reporters from this publication should be excluded from any press invites when it is done.

Sounds a bit trumpist.

Sorry not meant too. I just think this particular publication has worked against us. To say our stadium is a calamity is wrong. I would exclude them. By all means report on the stadium, how though is a burst pipe news worthy?

Not meant to sound Trumpist but yes yes in this age i can understand why it could appear that way.

I may be mistaken did we not do any interviews with the London evening standard?

Easiest way to nip this in the bud, would be for the club to take some selected journalists on a tour of the ground as it is

If you banned all sensationalist reporters, you wouldn’t be left with many reporters. People will say positive and negative things for ratings, let the chips fall where they may. The truth and reality of the situation will win out in the end. I’m an American and the idea of “banning” reporters who don’t toe the line is a bit of a sore spot at the moment; as @littlewilly mentioned, it seems somewhat “Trumpist.”

Its not so much banning those with a negative view and i get that wrt to the Trumpist comment.

For me this particular publication seems to have an agenda. I would like to see balanced reporting and not what i read in that link. The Sun thrives on that type of reporting and they would do it to any club. I would happily exclude them from any press invite.

Brentford want to open their new stadium December 2019 and nothing seems to have been said about them not being able to move in for half a season. If it is just the wiring then I seriously doubt it will take that long to fix when you consider how quickly the rest of the build has taken.

I don't know anything about construction but if you look at the difference 12 months has made I honestly can't see anything else taking more than 2-3 months now. Just seems that way to the naked eye
