looking at that vid pretty closely the gap between the cassettes and the glass won't be filled in. the cassettes slightly tuck under the glass and looking at the cassettes any standing water will flow the opposite direction ie… back of the stand. if it rains those at the front seats will still need brollies depending on the angle the rain falls(y)

How do electricians fuck up wiring to this extent? Seems pretty fundamental, like the equivalent of a brickie building a wall that doesn't stand up.
What if they were given the incorrect spec cable to install. Wouldn't necessarily be their fault then.

It actually says “the consequences have been immense” and include “substantial additional costs”.

It also says they currently have no confidence in being able to target a date for the contractors to deliver.

If that’s not fitting the description “many serious issues” I don’t know what is.

Levy even directly says “we are facing many issues” and then describes them as “costly and frustrating”...!

I’m exaggerating absolutely nothing.

to be honest adding "serious", does over exaggerate it. I have health issues, come Monday I have the tests I then find out the results whenever they tell me, if those issues become serious from the results then it becomes a completely different issue (and no I'm not making up a different scenario).

adding words are what journalist do to hype a story. yes it's frustrating for everyone especially the club and ST holders, and anyone with a chance of getting there.

we have a lot of people on the forum that have friends doing jobs, and are "we are not playing there till 20??". unless they are involved with working on the actual main problem, I doubt they know any different to anyone else. lets just hope that while repairing the problem jobs they get the chance to finish other work, and we can open with only minor snags need doing.

I did suggest that would be the case but from the video, pictures and on Sky scraper it does look like there is a piece of upright glass between the cassette and the glass panel - no? or is this an optical illusion?

We were lead to believe that wasn't the case by the way they brought in a new bunch of electricians (apparently). I think they were desperate to get new electricians in. I know the electrician we use, had a text asking if he wanted to work on the stadium and he's nothing to do with it.

Tottenham face spending the entire Premier League season at Wembley as club take up option with FA to extend national stadium stay until December

Daily Fail Link

Tottenham could be ordered by the Premier League to play their entire season’s home games at Wembley amid growing concerns that their new stadium may not be ready until after Christmas.
Sportsmail understands that the London club have taken up an option with the FA to extend their stay at the national stadium, with sources suggesting that the agreement runs until their Premier League match against Burnley on December 15

To be honest I wouldnt blame the PL. Theyve allowed us twice but if we miss the next 'deadline' I think it will be well you now play at Wembley - rightly so in my view. I am aware of the cost repercussions but we are where we are.

Ill admit though cosmetically there has been rapid progress with the stadium including the veil etc

Suck up being at Wembley for the year, get everything 100% done and go in next year to one of the best stadiums in the world. Announce it now, people will bitch and complain, but they're going to anyway. I'd rather get things done right rather than go into a new stadium with scaffolding and wet paint everywhere

It is a very expensive business paying for one stadium and renting another. There are compelling financial reasons to move in as soon as the new place is certified as usable. Subject to persuading the league, UEFA, etc., I'm expecting us to move as soon as it can be done.

I'm not seeing any advantage to the club of spending a whole season at Wembley if the new stadium is ready. Avoiding suspense doesn't really represent a strong financial argument.

The article is full of 'it is possible' and 'it is likely', together with one glaring error: "Spurs have already been told by UEFA they must play their home games in the Champions League group stage at Wembley". (I understand that there was no such directive; we requested and received permission to play the first game there and then did so for the other two.)

So the usual clickbait: a scaremongering article based on possibilities with no facts - or even quotes - to support it.

Believe it or not talkshite are reviewing the papers now (5.15am) and have called out The Fail totally and agree this is just scare mongering. Not sure whether the presenter is a Spurs fan? No quotes etc etc.

*Edit - I suppose that fuckwit Durham will have a totally different take on it this afternoon though.

That Mail article is the same story as the Ashton one from the other week just regurgitated. We were told then we’d agreed the Wembley extension until December. It’s just clickbait.

Nah, he did us last night, are Spurs a big club? I guess it was a slow news day. I nearly phoned in to say that then thought no I'll listen to Gold instead.
