To be honest I wouldnt blame the PL. Theyve allowed us twice but if we miss the next 'deadline' I think it will be well you now play at Wembley - rightly so in my view. I am aware of the cost repercussions but we are where we are.

Ill admit though cosmetically there has been rapid progress with the stadium including the veil etc
I'm just wondering what was the point of buying a season ticket for the new stadium if we now have to buy tickets for every game at wembley?

Honestly have no idea how we’d get away with playing 7 or 8 games at Wembley and then new WHL. Especially if we were to lose or draw a couple at Wembley. The teams to play us say in last 5 or 6 games of season at NWHL would definitely be at a disadvantage. Could see West Ham kicking up a fuss as their game may be crucial for relegation. Especially as they drew at Wembley last season and beat us there in the cup. They then may have to play a crucial relegation battle at a home stadium we’ve settled into, while say Cardiff will be playing us at Wembley. And if we drop points to Liverpool, city,Chelsea at Wembley, then united and Arsenal will almost certainly kick up a fuss if they have to play at new stadium.

Yes, but... fuck ‘em. No-one is getting more fucked over by this than us. I don’t give a shit if other fans or their clubs have a problem. This is the situation we find ourselves in and we have to get through it somehow. If West Ham get relegated it’s because they are West Ham.

To be honest Bournemouth on Boxing Day would be a great time to have the opening game, always a big day for football in terms of tradition in this country.

Not really tbh. There’s absolutely no way we were ever gonna be ready for September 15th. They should have just done 2 seasons at Wembley. It was completely unrealistic and only ourselves to blame for setting completely unrealistic targets.

It was ambitious. But if it was unrealistic it’s unlikely it would have got the green light.

I know some people think we should just accept defeat and slink away until next season but if we can be in sooner, even Christmas time then that's what I want. I just don't see any point in delaying until next season if we can be playing in it this season.
As for two years in Wembley, nobody wanted that and if we'd gone for that there'd be plenty of people now saying look at the stadium it's almost finished we could have been playing in it this season.

Agree. The less going to Wembley the better as far as I’m personally concerned as a ST holder.

I think for the club though there will come a point where it will be detrimental to keep pushing it back and back and I would imagine the patience on the part of the FA, PL and other clubs will begin to wear out.

As soon as its ready we will be going in. Its costing us more money every day we arent in the new stadium. It must be driving Levy round the bend thinking about it every second of his life.

I suspect we are in constant communication with the Premier League and if there was any inkling they were getting annoyed with the current situation I suspect they would let us know.

But that's a debate for another thread.....

Yeah, I would not fancy being one of the project managers. Their phones must be ringing non stop. Levy will be raging about the delays.

Nah, he did us last night, are Spurs a big club? I guess it was a slow news day. I nearly phoned in to say that then thought no I'll listen to Gold instead.
'are Spurs a big club?' aka I can't be arsed to put together a quality show so let's just fall back on some trolling.

We've got twelve home league games after Christmas and hopefully FA Cup, League Cup, Champions League. I don't get why anyone would want to give up at this stage and accept moving to Wembley for the full season. From a purely financial aspect if the £3M per game rate for Wembley is correct then it will cost us £36M just for the league games. Would anyone be willing to miss out on a £36M signing to pay for the rent? We just need to get in the stadium as soon as it's ready.

They probably gave it green light without anything built in to timeframe for a delay. IMO that was unrealistic, I mean I don’t think I’ve ever even seen a grand design project come in on time. We even knew in January it was behind. As they said the roof lift should go on end January. I think it ended up being end of march. I don’t think the ridiculously hot summer helped, must have slowed work down.

Not sure about your timeline.

Levy told the supporters trust that the roof going on late January/early February would be a good indicator that they were running on time.

Doom mongers at the Daily Mail on February 8th - http://www.dailymail.co.uk/sport/fo...stadium-reaches-critical-roof-lift-stage.html

Chris Cowlin on March 4th -

It was clearly in progress long before the end of March meaning a couple of weeks behind if anything.

But we did go live on the test events so we presumably thought we were on the right timeline but for the fire alarm circuits and the fire alarm circuits weren't really delayed they were wrong, I take your point, had we had an extra couple of weeks built in we might have weathered the fire alarm storm but my point is that we were on time for the Liverpool game when we started the test events irrespective of any delay earlier in the year.
