Not sure about your timeline.

Levy told the supporters trust that the roof going on late January/early February would be a good indicator that they were running on time.

Doom mongers at the Daily Mail on February 8th - http://www.dailymail.co.uk/sport/fo...stadium-reaches-critical-roof-lift-stage.html

Chris Cowlin on March 4th -

It was clearly in progress long before the end of March meaning a couple of weeks behind if anything.

It depends what Levy meant by 'the roof going on'.
At one extreme, well, it is still being worked on now!
At the other, perhaps he meant the completion of the compression ring - the key component of the roof.
Maybe he meant the day the first roofer turned up on the clock.
We could look at 50 odd pictures of the roof installation and have a vote on which one could be thought of as the 'ah yes, clearly this is the roof going on moment', for the average person.

For me the cables starting to be inched up, when most of it is pretty much ground level is not that moment, although important.
Surely some structure has to be at roof height, for that roof going on check point?

It’s open to interpretation alright but clearly something was happening in early February and I doubt anyone understood it to be finished at that point. At best, ‘the roof going on indicator’ just wasn’t a great indicator at all.

Wasn’t that the original version of the poster or did I miss something? I do tend to skip a few pages when the electricians start talking...
Possibly, I just remember seeing something that looked like that a couple of weeks ago.

The general tone of messages on twitter from people knowing people, is that there are numerous issues, every trade is behind, and we will be lucky to be in before end of year. Many of these come from decent spurs accounts. I just find it hard to believe all the info is fake and that the only issue is the fire alarms. I might be wrong, but so far all the “late” rumours have been correct. I was the most optimistic and dismissed all the rumours till these last few weeks.

I don't doubt all the stories of issues, if people are there they can see them and if it was finished there'd be no workers there and it would all be tidy and quiet but I question their conclusions, do they know that any work still to be completed is relevant to the stadium being ready. I guess ultimately it is all down to the bloke with the pen who signs it off.

From a financial point of view on the face of it, moving in part way through the season if it's December or later would appear to be an advantage as opposed to remaining at Wembley.

I don't however fully buy into the idea that it makes obvious sense from a results on the pitch point of view , and I don't see how the likes of other teams can complain that they will be at a disadvantage compared to the teams we would have played at Wembley earlier. Fulham won't be complaining that way will they.

When you look at our results at Wembley over the whole of last season and this season to date, they stack up pretty well. We also had a pretty good Champions League record there last season, and overall finished 3rd when many were predicting the Wembley factor would see us drop out of the top 4.There is absolutely no guarantee we will immediately hit the ground running results wise and match or better the Wembley results by moving in say in January. We may take a little while to settle in and drop points at a crucial part of the season which may see us drop out of Champions League qualification. How would it measure then financially?

As I see it, results wise on the pitch it's a gamble that could go either way by moving in part way through if our form at Wembley remains similar to how it has been, if results on the pitch completely nosedive at Wembley over the next 3 months then it clearly is a no brainer in moving ASAP, but if we base it on recent form over the last year, things don't suggest that is going to happen because of being at Wembley.

At some point we have to move. If that causes a dip in results, I really don't care whether it happens in the middle of this season or at the beginning of next season. I'm not so short-sighted as that.

I agree, the sooner we move, the sooner we acclimatise to the new stadium. It’s got to be easier than moving to Wembley, and that wasn’t too difficult really.

Get in as soon as possible, so it costs us as little as possible.

Also better get in and get used to it now, than have this season and next season disrupted.
