Why should I be paid to not work?
As for working through lunch to leave early.
My boss wouldn't have a problem. Then again, I'm more likely to work though lunch because I'm busy and it's part of the job.

There's 2 types in this industry - those who do the min required and those that do the most they can.

Guy I really trust has told me that zone testing for critical systems will start in early November. If they pass we will be in late December/early January. If they don’t pass this season is a write off. So by mid November we will definitely know one way or another. So we are unlikely to hear any definite updates till November the earliest. The club simply don’t know till those tests are done.

I see ‘bloke I know’ has got a promotion to ‘guy I really trust’.

Not one for gossip but was stood opposite a guy on the train into work this morning.

He was on the phone, at first from the way he was speaking I thought he was a journo, but then I peeped his THFC Security tag.

His conversation began with 'Yeah I saw your tweet, I don't think we put that out....oh we did ok?'

He then said 'Assuming he won't be called up for the next batch of internationals'.

He then said 'Yeah I had someone ask me that last night as well, but to be honest I have no answer to give. But it doesn't look like it'll be done in time for the end of the month. We need to get the test events on which are obviously staggered but that won't be anytime this month'

'Obviously we put the dates out for the test events before but that was only because the fixtures were coming out and we had to do something.'

A tunnel then ended the conversation.

Unless you are a lying bastard that surely qualifies as ITK:)

Impressive, and the blokes doing the work on it have got bigger balls than I have. You wouldn't catch me wandering around up there with no harness.

Hence me first thinking he was a journo. I believe I may have just found him on LinkedIn (by searching the club as a place of employment) and if I've remembered his face correctly he is involved in the stadium works

a new FIFA19 video has some game-play at NWHL (vid should start 2:11mins in to show it), there's a decent shot of the south stand at one point (about 2:43mins in)

I think he also thought that he was speaking in a discreet manner, but he just happened to be stood next to a ST holder who's headphones weren't working so well.
