Just in case you're piss wasn't boiling enough:

Maybe if the club stopped doing shit like this for American tourists and actually got on with...ya know...building...it would be done by now?

i'll post it again as this had been discussed the last page

At a guess this is most probably the yank that got the response from Donna about his trip to the UK, which was shown as bad press at the time

Fucking hell man

Yes...of course I know it's not the reason the entire project is delayed. But what kind of PR is this?!? What would you do if one of your employees that you'd given a big project to carry out came to you and said it would be late, and then after it was late and things were going wrong in the business you saw them pissing about at work with something completely irrelevant?

I thought that at first. But they would definitely have mentioned it if that was the case.

if it was what I posted before, and it was them, as the proposal was a surprise I doubt when they put it on twitter they wanted to mention one of the reasons as it was going to be a surprise and didn't want it out there

How the hell could they have installed the incorrect cable type for the fire alarm? Given that they've had hundreds of sparks on site, how did it take so long to notice? If they've messed that up, it makes me wonder what other stuff is waiting to be uncovered.

Find it incredible myself, complete and utter ignorance/negligence by everyone involved.

They will be divorced by the time we play our first match at the new ground

Personally it doesn’t bother me and looks like quite a nice thing for the club to do. What the club didn’t need to do was be so public about it. Put it in the programme for the next game or something, that would do.

If my memory serves, each system on it's own worked, it was only when they connected everything up they found that the wiring wasn't sufficient. Maybe a local system for, say, sprinklers only needs a certain wiring but to integrate it into the larger scheme of things, with the fire exits, alarms, automated locks, emergency lighting, etc required a higher rated wiring? I dunno, it sounded complicated, i remember that much...

I think it’s quite nice PR actually, only a heartless blowhard would think this was out of order. Your analogy above is completely irrelevant. The new stadium is a multi million pound project, for a multi million pound business. It’s not some lacky in an office creating a report about cheese sales. There are literally hundreds of people working on it.

They aren’t “pissing about at work” they are doing what PR departments do, engaging with fans in a positive way and creating fluffy pieces to stick on Twitter.

God forbid the club do something nice for someone that was affected by the stadium delay, the bastards. Ledley needs a good talking too aswell, how dare he smile at such an awful time for the club like this. Bastard.

I wonder if that's why the led advertising is getting such a long workout. Can't remember for sure but seems roughly like the time they tested them previously when all the shit hit the fan?

It sounds like they installed the wrong cable type, FP200 (which is the most likely cable type used) is bright red, & any electrician should know it. They could have bought red flex cable, which looks like FP to the untrained eye, but any spark fitting it should have picked up on it straight away

As for linking it to other systems, they'll fit relays, which can be in the panel, or anywhere on the wiring loop, & they're simple to program, which will be done in line with some kind of evacuation plan.

I'm a bit confused about the "256 loops need rewiring" though, if they've wired that many then someone has made a killing selling Levy about 60-80 fire alarm panels, seems a bit excessive.

Agree with all of this, its basic, industry standard stuff that qualified people will spot a mile off.
To me it all points towards unqualified people doing the work.

Let's say all the cabling is wrong - and I agree it sounds preposterously far fetched and barely believable that from the number of people required to fit it, nobody would've noticed that everyone had the wrong cables - how long can it realistically take to rewire it?
