Yeah, if only the link in the tweet had this in it:
I stand corrected! Fair enough then.

Just in case you're piss wasn't boiling enough:
Maybe if the club stopped doing shit like this for American tourists and actually got on with...ya know...building...it would be done by now?
Fucking hell man
Yes...of course I know it's not the reason the entire project is delayed. But what kind of PR is this?!? What would you do if one of your employees that you'd given a big project to carry out came to you and said it would be late, and then after it was late and things were going wrong in the business you saw them pissing about at work with something completely irrelevant?
I thought that at first. But they would definitely have mentioned it if that was the case.
How the hell could they have installed the incorrect cable type for the fire alarm? Given that they've had hundreds of sparks on site, how did it take so long to notice? If they've messed that up, it makes me wonder what other stuff is waiting to be uncovered.

I wonder if that's why the led advertising is getting such a long workout. Can't remember for sure but seems roughly like the time they tested them previously when all the shit hit the fan?If my memory serves, each system on it's own worked, it was only when they connected everything up they found that the wiring wasn't sufficient. Maybe a local system for, say, sprinklers only needs a certain wiring but to integrate it into the larger scheme of things, with the fire exits, alarms, automated locks, emergency lighting, etc required a higher rated wiring? I dunno, it sounded complicated, i remember that much...
It sounds like they installed the wrong cable type, FP200 (which is the most likely cable type used) is bright red, & any electrician should know it. They could have bought red flex cable, which looks like FP to the untrained eye, but any spark fitting it should have picked up on it straight awayIf my memory serves, each system on it's own worked, it was only when they connected everything up they found that the wiring wasn't sufficient. there's no such thing as bad publicity or so they say?
Agree with all of this, its basic, industry standard stuff that qualified people will spot a mile off.It sounds like they installed the wrong cable type, FP200 (which is the most likely cable type used) is bright red, & any electrician should know it. As for linking it to other systems, they'll fit relays, which can be in the panel, or anywhere on the wiring loop, & they're simple to program, which will be done in line with some kind of evacuation plan.
I'm a bit confused about the "256 loops need rewiring" though, if they've wired that many then someone has made a killing selling Levy about 60-80 fire alarm panels, seems a bit excessive.

doesn't make senseAgree with all of this, its basic, industry standard stuff that qualified people will spot a mile off.
To me it all points towards unqualified people doing the work.
