I still reckon Boxing Day, traditional day of fixtures, winnable game, best time IMO.

Only problem there is public transport. First game with 62,000 fans I would think the club would not want any issue in this regard.

As soon as the club made their announcement about the City and CL games at Wembley I predicted Burnley on 15th Dec and I'm sticking to that. I hope it's not delayed until Jan because there are a lot of home matches in Dec and I just can't be arsed to go to Wembley any more.

15th December is still three months away yet so that seems doable although I would still like it sooner as I feel your pain on Wembley.

I find it easier to get to Wembley but I just want to go home to Tottenham because until we do we are just left hanging and unstable at what could be the most stable period I’ve ever seen us have.

I'm a ST holder but actually haven't been yet this season. I was on holiday for Fulham and me and my Dad decided to give the Liverpool game a miss ( which turned out to be good decision !) and use the money for the Barca game. I've got tickets for Cardiff, but we've also decided to leave the City game as well.

Maybe if our ST included a couple of cup games we may have felt differently, but as I said I just can't get the motivation to go to Wembley at the moment and feel with the large increase in our ST prices I'm in the mind to just keep the clubs refunds for the moment.

I'll definitely go to all the CL games though.

Ok this may be a bit nerdy of me but I've just checked the live cameras and the cranes and vehicles and the covering they laid on the pitch has all gone and where there were six lighting gantries there are now only five, my optimistic hat says they are clearing the ground and storing away the lights leaving the ground ready to lay a pitch.

Yeah I think it will be the Burnley game too. Would be nice if that is the case. Burnley are a historic club in English football and a founder member of the Football League. Quite a respectable fixture if you think about it.

Chris Cowlin mentioned he thinks first week of Oct is when they'll be laying the turf. No idea where he got the info from.
