I think that when you are building a football stadium the grass is a key element of the build, it really is.

Article in the Standard (ahem) said that it would be fully playable after 2 weeks but ideally it should be left for 4. As I reckon also the Burnley game then there’s going to be time for the test events also.

I’m sure 2 weeks on a pitch would be considered a rush job. Anyways saw advert for stewards, which you would think they wouldn’t do 6 months in advance.

I’m sure someone mentioned before, we played Rochdale in Feb and they relayed their pitch within a week of our game with them.

They also have drainage problems and I would hope we have invested a lot more than they have into our pitch.

We have also already spent a long time getting the pitch ready, and the grass grown at the training ground.

I'm sure someone from where we are got the grass from said it would be ready to play on with on days. So a week or two should be good if it all goes well... (can't find the quotes)

You would think the ideal time to lay the grass would be 2-3 months from final completion. Enough time for it to bed in and enough for it to be fresh. I think it would close the rumours on 19/20 completion. Would seem a bit odd to lay it now if stadium not ready till next July.
