I’m not talking about NFL. Although that’s not gonna do the pitch any favours especially if it rains. We all saw the state of the pitch which was from the AJ fight. I’d presume part of khan thinking would be to get as much use out the stadium as possible as in boxing concerts etc. I would think he will have a lot less regard for the state of the pitch than the FA do.
But they have multiple concerts/events on it currently. This also includes us playing there in addition. I reckon the new owners just see an opportunity to make money and have more of a focus then maybe th FA. Anyway this is the new stadium thread not Wembley so I’ll stop with this. ?

He might get rid of the grass and go AstroTurf for all we know.

Let’s hope our pitch doesn’t have the same problems Wembley has had since the stadium was rebuilt.

But the state of the pitch this week clearly shows Wembley is not ideal as a multi purpose arena. Anyway the only reason I brought Wembley up was to highlight that I think we’ve pulled off a bit of a master stroke having a 62k multi purpose arena in London. The NFL plus the 16 non football events is such a great revenue stream. It’s almost equivalent to qualifying for CL every year on a financial basis.

If that money actually goes to spurs. Wouldn't suprise me if it ended up in a holding company and it isn't translated onto the pitch

I think I have been really ignorant and silly. I thought the NFL pitch would be laid and the footy pitch was pulled out from under the stand. is it the other way around?

The NFL pitch is down already and under the grass pitch. There was a big PR hoo-ha when it happened with NFL players over!

It’s almost as if people have a life outside this thread!

I’m off to stare at cam 2 for another hour.

Edit: Sweepers on 3. I repeat, Sweepers on 3!

Only just found out Billy Bonds isn’t playing for West Ham anymore

Couldn’t believe it, when did that happen!

So what major work is left? Seems all the seats are in, the pitch, etc.

I’m sure there’s some big work that is not visible on the cams but just wondering if anyone know.

Goodness me there's a lot bleating from wannabee Alan Titchmarsh's last few days.
Fact 1 Levy will be having top quality turf laid

At first glance I thought you said "Levy will be having a top quality turd laid", and envisaged him curling one out where the centre circle will be in order to claim his territory.

Can't confirm this but someone on SSC said this, from the club website, was listed as 'venue TBA' up until about an hour ago....

Can I remind you there is an American football match going on at Wembley for 3 consecutive weekends, finishing with one on the 28th October. They certainly think they can get the pitch prepared in time for us to play City just 28 hours later.

There were NFL games at Wembley last season
There was boxing at Wembley last season
There were concerts at Wembley last season

None of them caused issues with us playing there.
