He’s basically just said to me what we already heard before. That the fire system situation is tied in with general finish. As they are having to rip out a lot that had already been completed as in walls and ceilings. Also reiterated that his “hunch” was next season. So I’m just passing this info on. Although I’m sure some will somehow label it as me being negative ?

Just seems odd he would know something that Daniel levy / Pochettino don't know.

There's two months between now and the Burnley game. I suspect we'll be in by then. It's not long to go until we see test events being announced i suspect. Everything points to it being close. The club won't deliberately keep the team and supporters away.

Patience.....

If people could be bothered to watch the Chris Cowlin video on the previous page, they would know that he states.

"many people working at the club have informed me that there will be an announcement about the 2 test events in the next 2 weeks".

As well as saying he has been told exclusively that the club shop is due to start being stocked within the next week, which clearly suggests that it is very close to opening. And, along with that, suggests that the stadium won't be too far behind that.

He's also another one that believes Burnley will be the first game.

Old Kramer on Twitter is just a doom monger drama queen.

Bizarre agenda on here. All I did was post a tweet from a guy who is obviously working on the stadium. He’s also a big spurs fan has no obvious reason to lie. He said to me his heart said March but his head said next season. All I did was pass on what looks like solid info and this makes me negative ?

Anyway I’ve asked him if his opinion is based on the fire systems or just general work that needs to be finished.

This head and heart line has disingenuous bullshit written all over it. (I’m not saying he didn’t say it, just that if he did it’s BS).

Why on earth would his heart say March? We’re not going to move into the stadium with just a couple of games left, so it doesn’t matter whether it’s March or next season. The guy is clearly trying to exaggerate his negativity by making the worst case scenario sound like a hopelessly optimistic flight of fancy. Based on that alone I don’t trust his opinion.

It’s like if someone came into this forum and said “my heart says we’ll lose 3-0 to arsenal, but my head says 5-0”. You’d know the comment was a wind up.

I'm not buying any rumours, and will remain cautiously optimistic until/unless more bad news kicks me in the bollox.

There is an incredible amount of rumours flying around about builders sabotaging things on site. I was told (by hopefully an utter bullshit merchant) that the toilets have been fucked for ages and the builders are knocking holes in walls to piss and it lead to collapsed ceilings etc.

Can't wait for this to be finished, so we can just get in there finally (and piss in one of those holes)

You might assume that if say a December/January date was possible we might start seeing some training sessions on the pitch. Can they do that with out a safety certificate, I’ve no idea. But you would think Pochettino would want the players as accustomed to the surroundings as possible.

The pitch wants to be left alone for another couple of weeks before it is used. It needs to root itself firmly in place.

A couple of others suggested that the pitch being laid now is a sign that the stadium will be opening soon. I think it's mainly a sign that you want to lay a lawn before winter sets in.

Winter doesn't matter when you have grow op lights and amazing drainage. This is not merely a few rolls of grass that need to bed in, it's all already stitched together with fibres - the pitch will be ready v soon, the rest I know less about.

I seem to recall that very shortly after the Fire system failed the safety check, someone posted on here an ad. looking for 50 electrians with specific qualifications in (I think) fire safety systems, and the contract was for 3 months. That was August, IIRC, assuming they started at the beginning of September it's now nearly half way through the contract. It would tie in with a December / early January opening.

Yeah i also watched that video. The work on site is going at full pace. The inside looks as done as we would want it... Amazing how seeing the pitch laid can change one's perception, at least for me it is and is an indication of great progress. Sure there was the delay with the fire safety issue. Once that is resolved we in a better space. Happier that we going to a closer to comoletiin stadium than if we went home to a construction zone.

If it is the Burnley game them it ticks all the boxes.. Soft landing into our new home. Im not even in England and im getting all excited. Can imagine you lot there.
