From Paul Miller this morning

I'm surprised no great debate has ensued out of our Mr Miller's assertion that we will move in early 2019.
I don't believe him, Paul Miller is nobody's fool and I would not expect him to say what he knows in a tweet, in fact I would expect him to put a little delay, a little wriggle room, which brings us back to December at the latest.

Amazing compared to emirates. Hysterical they were the template of how not to do it.

That lower tier at the emirates looks the exact shallow gradient as Wembley, which is terrible

Am I correct in thinking our lower tier is quite a bit steeper than that?

Winter doesn't matter when you have grow op lights and amazing drainage. This is not merely a few rolls of grass that need to bed in, it's all already stitched together with fibres - the pitch will be ready v soon, the rest I know less about.

All true and all things I was already aware of, but grow lights cost money to run and aren't ever quite as good as sun and fresh air. For weeks, people were having periodic freak-outs here because the pitch wasn't being laid. I kept saying that they would lay it as soon as they had the machinery that might damage it out of the way and the equipment, including the grow lights and irrigation system, ready to look after it.

And that's what they did. There was only about a week, if that, between clearing the pitch area of equipment and starting to work on the substrate in the trays.

There were reasons to delay. And then there weren't, so they got on with it at the ideal time.
