Playing towards the south stand is going to be incredible for us. Has it been confirmed where the away end is? Will it stay in the same place? I kind of want the single tier to be our fans only and have the away fans in the opposite end. Keep the wall of noise all Spurs.

Away fans will be sat diagonally across from where they used to be (ie north east corner)

Weird how we can get one stand so much closer than the others ?

Anyone know why? Could a possible explanation be that the stand closest is 1 tier so 2 tiers requires x distance

I suspect it was only possible due to the single tier - architecturally with a complete bowl I imagine you can only make it so tight.

They need the Safety Certificate to be able to hold 'Public Entertainment' and sell tickets. The test events are required under the Regs. but they aren't allowed to charge for them. It's not needed for the players to train in the stadium as it's not open to the public.

thanks for letting me know!

I would imagine that for 2 tier stands, each individual tier is less steep than a single tier, but that the total gradient from the back of the top tier to the front of the bottom tier is significantly steeper (because the tiers overlap or have a vertical section). So the pitch needs to be further out so that the people at the back of the top tier can still see the nearest part of the pitch.

Tried to show it in this picture.

Is that wood they've used for the shop exterior. Or metal? Looks class either way imo.
It's metal, looked much darker when it was first installed, much prefer it now it's weathered a bit, looks much closer to how the computer renders depicted it.

They usually negate that line of sight issue by having the upper tiers at a steeper angle.

St. James' park has notoriously steep upper tiers iirc.

I’ve a feeling the atmosphere and acoustics are gonna be insane. Possibly like nothing you’ve ever heard before in a stadium. The steepness and the fact it’s totally enclosed should make a huge difference. The earlier bowls built have fresh air at top of stands like the emirates to aid the pitch condition. But with the advancement in pitch technology they obviously felt it wasn’t necessary so we’ve closed those gaps in. You can almost see as well how the angle of the roof will help the sound bounce around. Just can’t wait.

Is the outer ring the end of the upper tier?!

Got the same for the old WHL or any other stadium aside from the two above? Really interesting to see so thanks!

I believe the outer red lines are the seating areas of the upper tier, yes.
I'd love to find something comparing WHL with the new gaff like this, only thing I've seen is this.

The Wembley one is insane, nearly as bad as the Olympic Stadium. Would love to see how it compares to WHL as well.
