My guess would be that we would prefer the first game to be a weekend one. The first time 62,000 fans descend on the new stadium with the same transport links I imagine there would be a greater risk of issues during the week when most people would be getting to the stadium at roughly the same time.
60,000 capacity crows were the norm when we all had to stand and the transport links weren't as good as they are now so what's your worry?

You're welcome to give your opinion - but everyone else is welcome to give theirs on what you've said.

Like 'why are you seemingly being so negative about something which is shaping up to be so positive'...etc.

Because I feel it’s unfair. I’ve been posting here for probably 18 months. I contribute a lot as in pictures and twitter stuff that people may otherwise not see. I would say 80-90% of my posts are positive. Yet I constantly get picked up on the odd “negative” post. Anyone that follows me on twitter will know that I’m anything but negative. Anyway it’s boring now.

On transport links. How is this going to work. From what I've seen there won't be any improvement before mid 2019 when the new WHL station completes?

The network struggled with our old home games let alone another 20k fans! Or am I missing something here?

I think the hope is that it will be a staggered start and end for fans.

Turning up early to take in the new stadium and facilities and then some staying around at the end.

So it wouldn't be 62k turning up and leaving at the same time.

Is the high street being closed as well? Would let foot traffic spread out a little more until they hit the stations.

I actually like the comment 'when Super Mario gets his mushroom'

I genuinely feel sad. Also I don't get to sit in my East Stand anymore

Not my worry mate :).

Think it’s more fans all congregating at the entrances at the same time. With brand new turnstile equipment/security checks etc. I’m sure nothing would go drastically wrong, but just think they wouldn’t want any added risks with the smoothness of fans getting in and out for the first game there.

With it being a very high profile event I'd expect a heavier than usual security presence, as well, so entry may take a bit longer than it otherwise would.

I guess we'll find out when we start our first game
I do wonder this myself. I hope they use WHL station more so you get people moving to each of WHL, Seven Sisters and Northumberland. Ideally they need to close off some surrounding roads and put some barriers up leading to the stations like they do at music festivals. There's no real queuing system at Northumberland, just crowding around until you can get to the platform.

Sometimes that's fine but other times it just won't happen. Midweek matches will be the worst - few will be able to arrive that early if they don't finish work till 5 or later and few will want to hang around Tottenham when the game already finishes at 10pm.

I think the work at Northumberland Park to add a new track and quite a lot of trains to Stratford should be done - was certainly meant to but don't know if it's actually happened or not.

In one of Chris Cowlin’s latest videos he went to Northumberland park station and you could see a lot had been done. But it was hard to tell from the angle if it was nearing completion.

I read ages ago that they also are going to try to get more fans to use Tottenham Hale, vaguely remember something about shuttle buses?

If you remember the club want us all to hang around to drink more, chat and watch hi-lights. That will be interesting!

I'm absolutely loving the recent photos showing the inside of the stadium; now that it's nearing completion I get a lovely warm fuzzy feeling as it already has feeling of familiarity. A feeling of home. What a cracking job they've done.

I will turn up three hours early for the first game, just in case. I imagine that around 62,000 others will have this thought!

Got to say with the interior shots I’m seeing now it doesn’t look like somewhere you’d want to leave in a hurry.

I'd definitely be willing to hang around for a drink on weekend matches so that when you leave there's no queue at the station.
