Just thinking, if it isn't the Chelsea game what with away/ home games reverse it could be another 18 months before those slimy toe rags get to step foot in our pristine new stadium.

what do you mean when you say reverse?

because we played them at home last season 1st, and its us at home this season 1st. we always seem to play Arse at the Library 1st, and Liverpool always seems to be at home 1st then Anfield

Good. A Chelsea "mate" of mine was saying an acquaintance of his has a Chelsea away season ticket and my mate asked him if he had any spares for the Spurs game and this guy (who by my chav mate's admission is a proper give a dog a bad name Chelsea fan) said "Nah, if it's at the new Yid stadium then I'm going there to smash it up."

Perhaps we can make the away fans take their shoes off (and have a shower ;) ) before entering our pristine new abode...

Does anyone know how drainage works with the slide away grass pitch?

The nuts and bolts are it has a vacuum system in the pitch trays, the water is then stored and used to irrigate the pitch either when it's parked or general maintenance or any other areas of green stuff in front of the stadium.

The grow light rigs are also capable of watering the pitch, they attach to runners on the edges of the pitch trays, my guess is there's a fitting like a Hozlok which connect to rigs nozzle system to the massive water tanks under the sides of the pitch flaps/garage area.

The sprinkler heads that pop out of the grass are more for a quick drink over a large areas to help pre-match or at half time I think it helps reduce cutting up as players slide across the surface with less digging in; it's also used to speed up/slow down the ball for the end you're attacking/defending (the "you're" being the home team)

I believe that to be broadly correct HTH (y)

I'd hazard a guess the club is more than aware which clubs wankers are likely to damage areas, the bajillions of CCTV cameras and other measures will no doubt see them banned from every ground in the country, I believe banning orders also extend to away fixtures with National teams too (ICBW)

This may be codshit but I thought damage attained by a visiting clubs supporters is footed by that club, who then chase that penalty to guilty parties through the court if necessary.

I know this is just to show the sprinklers in action - but that is a great picture of the stadium. Love the way it looks.
What’s even more exciting for me is that that’s going to be my view every week; centre of north upper row 6 :woot:

Another point I’d make is that the wall to wall coverage this project has had all the way through construction, with the live cameras and constant YouTube videos etc means that nit picking is exactly what you are going to get from some.

If this was 10/20 years ago you’d just see periodic photographic evidence, some inside info from those lucky enough to visit and then the finished product which most people would love.

Now if you wish you can follow the life and journey of a glass panel from render through every stage of construction on a minute by minute basis. It’s going to encourage nit picking.

Don’t tell me you don’t love a good sprinkler... I’m just jealous of those in the splash zone

I’m at the stadium at the moment. It’s come on leaps and bounds since my last visit approx a month ago. Everything has opened up and there’s so much more space evident.

As Chris Cowlin says, the corner of Park Lane view is great. That huge concrete wall at the base of the South is exactly that and is certainly going to get faced with something in the short term - before the hotel etc. They’re breeze blocks and something will be on there. I reckon there will be a lot of branding in various places too. There is a plinth on the outside top of the South which looks like it will carry the/a cockerel. Maybe we’ll have 2?

If it had to host a game in approx 8 weeks (Burnley) then I reckon it could, given all the safety stuff. Most of the temporary barriers could be removed in a day!
