Does anyone have any info on the Wembley cut off for game by game ? I definitely remember seeing an article that said around December time. And I’ve just seen someone post that Chelsea is the last game by game Wembley will allow. Not sure if that means we’d have to commit to blocks of 3-5 or till end of season. Appreciate if anyone can find the article.

I’m worried that the club isn’t communicating enough and I’m beginning to think they will open the stadium and not tell us.

Levy: "It's five minutes before kick off, where the fuck is everyone?"

Cullen: "The stadium opening announcement is still in the email draft folder, we thought it would be best"

Levy: "FFS Dele"

Sorry - but that does not look like a stadium that needs 2.5 more months before it can host a match:

It's the critical safety systems that are presenting the delay not the actual stadium building and pitch.

The fire alarms and public address voice alarm systems have not been fully tested and commissioned.
The critical safety systems will also include the sprinkler suppression system and may include the fire escape lifts.

Without sign off by the appropriate people the stadium will not be safe to use.

Yes and no.

Those are the specific delays - but, when the construction is moving forward towards finishing touches - like the sideline advertising boards - its an indication that the stadium is nearing completion. That is the kind of task that can wait until everything is nearly ready before installation.

And, I think there is still a big difference between the stadium being complete - which even by the earliest deadlines was not planned until next summer - and the stadium being ready to host matches.

The tickets going out, the club shop opening up, the sideline advertising boards being installed - these are all indicators of a stadium that is closer to being ready to host matches than 3 months away.

The minutes from the Supporters' Trust's meeting with the club last Tuesday have been posted here. Relevant stadium stuff:
...
  • MC said the Trust’s preference, and that of many fans, was to get information out early, even if it was to say there would be further delay
  • DL and DMC said that doing this risked further delay
  • ...
And there we have confirmation of one reason why Levy didn't tell fans earlier that the project was going to be late. He wants to keep the pressure on Mace. Presumably his thinking is if you set a new target, then everyone will relax and that deadline will be missed too.

Plus I feel he wants clarity when they work out who picks up the costs of this delay. For Levy there is 1 date:
The expected opening date of 15 Sept 2018. This date wasn't negotiable.
He doesn't want to appear to endorse any revised, or more realistic dates, to muddy the waters.

Seen a few people say they have had enough of wemberly due to travel and just not liking it, l and that they get money back for the games they don't feel like they then have to go. But probably not the correct topic for this thread.
I was under the impression that the club only refunded money if you purchased a ticket for a wembley game. ?

A season ticket means you have purchased a ticket already, so would get the refund. Why would someone who has a ticket to all home games then need to buy another one to get a refund?!

Are there any time lapse videos from the start of the demolition work to where we are now?
