I much prefer the all blue look.
I do too actually, touch of class that sets us apart from the rabble.
Part of me wanted to see the THFC go back in but it’s a bit of a dated concept now. Simple, clean, onwards and upwards.
I don't disagree, for me it's a nostalgia thing to have the letters or the cockerel really. If we are to have no THFC related imagery in the seats, I desperately hope that we don't end up with a Nike swoosh or some naming rights logo in the seats either.

The cornerstone sponsorship has all gone quiet. I just hope we doing have sponsors signs on the seats instead. Eg. The Heineken Stand. That would make me pretty sick.

I stumbled into a bit of stadium ITK this afternoon. It turns out that the boyfriend of a young woman I know (works at my gym) is the Stadium Production Manager. His responsibility is the video that goes up on the screens, the corresponding productions on backstage screens, shows at half time, that kind of thing.

She was telling me that he's been doing his nut a bit because he has had to adapt his product for the conflicting requirements (mainly software I guess) of three different stadia: Wembley, MK and the THS. He's run off his feet trying to catch up.

The bit that will interest people here is that the more senior staff are very clear about when the stadium is going to open. They all know, but they've been forbidden from saying anything, because the club set a timetable once which didn't pan out, so they're not going to release another until they are 100% sure they can deliver it. She wasn't giving anything away in terms of dates or matches, to the extent that I don't know if she knew and wasn't telling or had been stonewalled by the boyfriend.

The other thing that arose, although not in as many words, is that everything was on target for the 15 September opening until the fire alarm fiasco emerged. That's been the problem, not a cover for the overall build being months behind. It took the whole team by surprise and capsized everything.

I would say a statue outside the south entrance greeting supporters - and providing an ideal photo op.

I know if I owned the stadium, the south stand would be the billy nick. Yes a statue within the billy nick gates is something they hope to do, but the man deserves something special after being robbed a knighthood.

The thing is the fans will be singing we’re the park lane, whatever it does get named.

Hi David. Thanks for sharing. It’s highly possible this has been answered in another part of the thread but with recent insight from the trust around the type of agreement Spurs have with MACE would you expect Spurs to sue them for damages?

I mean, if it was due to the wrong cabling being put it, for example, then that would have to go down to staggering negligence on the part of the contractor.

Or is it trickier in these situations to seek damages?

So if the more senior staff know but the're forbidden from saying that must rule out Kramer being one of them

I thought it was fairly obvious Kramer wasn't a senior member of staff when he was going round taking pictures of wooden beams in stairwells ffs

To my laymen's eye, i never really believed in June/July that the stadium would be ready for September 15, not that I have any experience at all in construction admittedly.

Given the amount of progress that we've seen in the last month or so I am even more inclined to believe, fire systems or not, it was never going to be ready for the Liverpool game even if everything had worked.

Before anyone jumps down my throat, again, i say this as a complete laymen purely based on what it looked like to me.

Regardless, it looks awesome now, my season ticket packs arrived on Tuesday and I am super excited!!

They've brought forward a lot of the external completion work (paving, cladding etc) that was otherwise going to have a temporary fix until next summer. They realised they could do this given the delays caused by the fire systems issue so I think it would have been ready, just not looked as good a what it will be (on an external basis)

once the fire systems fault was found, they cut back on overtime and the amount of staff I believe. never really looked they where going at it as busy as before. they never laid the pitch because we was in the middle of a heatwave and with a delay expected which if we play Burnley will be a total of 3 months there was no need to lay it.

all of a sudden the videos are looking like it's all men to the pump again.

I know, it was a bit tongue in cheek. Whenever I think of Kramer I keep thinking of the movie Airplane.

Daniel Levy: "I want the best available man on this. A man that knows that Stadium inside and out, and won't crack under pressure "
Donna Cullen: "How about Mr Rodgers"
Daniel Levy: "Get me Rex Kramer"

Initially, it would not require a lawsuit. It would involve enforcing the liquidated damages clause in the contract with Mace. It would only require legal action if a dispute arises over the implementation or the quantum of the damages to be deducted ... which happens depressingly frequently.

It's not just "the contractor". It's which (sub)contractor(s) executed defective work and whether the defects were caused by their failure to follow the specification and drawings, or because someone else's specification and drawings were incorrect.

These disputes involve multiple parties - they run and run and usually end in a commercial settlement: a deal that everyone feels equally is bad for them! If they can't reach that settlement, that's when lawsuits start to fly. Bad news. Expensive for everyone and only the lawyers make money.
