You would have thought if the shop was opening on Saturday the club would be making a bit more of a song and dance about it. And you would have expected an announcement by now. Also opening it the day we have an away game seems a bit odd even if it is West Ham. Considering it’s basically the first part of the stadium opening to the public I would have thought they’d have given at least 4 or 5 days notice and probably had TV down there the day before banging the biggest club shop in Europe drum. Definitely something SSN would fill 5 minutes with.

Most stores open with a cold opening. You don’t want to make a big song and dance about things to find your POS systems aren’t working properly when the press turn up to your grand opening. So most companies will announce its open quietly, test everything is working for a day or two. Then hold a launch event and the store will open officially.

Sky Sports News would be reporting it as follows;

"Tottenham's new megastore won't open. Bet now!"

"Spurs set to announce shock last-minute shop opening."

I for one can't wait for the shop to open. I need me one of those helmets. I hope they let me wear it to the games.

Hmm,
Shall I spend £10 on travel and a couple of hours to go to a shop in Tottenham instead of ordering online from my phone and spending £5 on delivery (free if over £50)

I can't believe too many people will go out of their way to go to a shop for a stadium that isn't hosting matches.
I said this on SSC - they'll likely only make enough to keep the shop open (on a good day) on non match days and, at present, there are no match days.
It does lead me to think the stadium itself can't be that far behind.

You have to think there's more to it than just the shop. I imagine the Tottenham Experience is all part of the attraction which the shop is just part of. It may not be the complete experience but you would think they'll have enough video content, pre-match material and who knows possibly a little bit of a tour of the new stadium in certain areas.

It's becoming clear that the NFL thing is Levy's elaborate plan to get a spot in Season 6 of Ballers where Dwayne Johnson is bringing a team to London
