In need of positives. Sniped this from skyscraper (from the independent):

"Before the stadium can open it must receive its safety certificates, which Haringey Council will only grant after two successful test events. The first test event – pencilled in for late November – would be for a capacity of up to 30,000 people. The second, which Spurs hoped to be in early December, would be for a capacity of up to 48,000."

Would mean Burnley is the one ????

hertyid: Heard from good source that club expects Man Utd first game.
Makes sense. If the 2nd test event isn’t until December they aren’t going to risk saying Burnley is the match and then something happening at the test event to screw that up.

To endorse Hertyid ITK via Dovakhiin.
I went to a tunnel club event tonight (screening of PSV match and Q&A).
Two ex player Ambassadors and 1 senior corporate ALL said ManU is the insider view of first game. However, all said:
1. Personal view only.
2. DL is dead set on first game possible. No Sky, or symetrical, influence to start with Man U.
3. Burnley is possible, subject to test events and safety certs but Club won’t risk another announcement followed by delay.
So reality is even ITK is still not sure.

If we really are delayed to MU what happens if we get a home tie in the 3rd round of the FA Cup which is due on weekend of January 5? I can’t see us still getting some preferential treatment for this to be switched/swapped or any other alternative

Well Wembley is our home atm so surely it would just take place there. We only didn't play there last time because of the AJ fight.
