Drive by (not in that way) from earlier today

Thanks mate, that's a nice little clip. Really gets across the scale of the stadium and how much of a leap forward it is over the old ground.
Gets me all emotional, delays will be worth it when that's our home and I can start taking my little boy there soon.

also goes on to say:

This is why the club is not setting any opening dates as they will need to see how the testing goes over the next few weeks. It's 100% clear we will not play Chelski or the Saints at the new ground... After these tests it will be the fire stopping and fire supression systems then

Onto signing off the PAVA (4000) speakers, CCTV systems. Stadium management system & integration tests where all the above systems are controlled (SCADA) all the emergency lighting etc. The list goes on & there is so much testing to do still on the lifts etc.

Next 4 week will be key. Don't worry about the external panelling works, of fixtures or fittings they will be completed by Dec 1st. We are getting closer day by day & thanks Paul for the picture #COYS

Not sure Brexit cost us hundreds of millions. Sure I heard a figure of 6% somewhere. Sure you can maths on a £500m build. Just lucky all the cheap labour is still around.

I reckon they will leave Chelsea announcement till Tuesday. Still loads of city tickets to sell, doubt any announcement will help with that.

Have to say reading about Everton stadium and after Chelsea fiasco we were incredibly lucky with timing of Brexit. Had it happened 2-3 years earlier I very much doubt the stadium would have been built at all. Or at least not in its current design, they’d probably have ditched the NFL pitch.
What has happened to Chelsea/Everton's plans because of Brexit?

I would think they are being as efficient and also realistic about the testing of whatever systems need stringent passing. To accuse the club/contractors/safety executive of inefficiency is just trolling for comment imo.

Of course they’re just stringing this out for as long as possible eh? (Sarcasm - just in case anyone wasn’t aware)

Just got an email from the club stating that the stadium won’t be open before Wolves

Season ticket refunds processed seven days before each on-sale date for each game.

Half of our home games delayed and to be refunded now. Mad

Incredibly gutting. I live in New York and booked flights back for the entirety of December back in September, thinking I'd catch 4 home games during that time including the first game.
