Seems like a fair bit are feeling blindsided by not going in there for Chelsea (at least the temperature of the room makes it seem as such), was I one of the only ones penciling in Burnley as the first match? This has only tacked on 2 more matches from what I was expecting.

Obviously I understand for people who had planned trips around this (like @rebrab), but for the rest it doesn't seem like it should be that big of a deal *unless they were still thinking it would be Chelsea, somehow*

Or maybe I've completely misread the room. I am socially dyslexic.
I think people are pretty sick of Wembley in general. Supposed to be a nightmare to get in and out.

Who are we playing on Boxing Day? With all of you who are not intending to go I might take advantage of the extra availability and take my boys for the first time, we’ll be down south visiting my family anyway.

Why not? In my opinion the league should be encouraging clubs to invest in their infrastructure, not penalising them leaving a perfectly good ground empty for no reason.

And new stadiums are often late due to unforeseen circumstances. Just look at the problems with new Wembley.

It takes a month to test? Im sorry that cannot be right. To test a fire alarm, Turn on, if it makes noise, passed. If it doesnt, failed. Turn off. That takes like a minute, tops. Then move onto the rest of the tests. None of which should take anywhere close to even a day.

So a new fire alarm doesn't need to detect smoke or fire? It just needs to make a bit of noise? You didn't install the bloody thing did you?

Haven’t been since Leicester last season. I hate Wembley with a passion, it’s such a atmosphere vacuum. Money’s tight this year so I’m not wasting any until we go home so am desperate to go to a live game, but this is just getting silly now. Still at least if the first game is Utd, Poch will get to lead one of the teams out for the first game, just not sure which one.

They are so missing a trick by not giving us reduced price tickets. They really don’t care about the fans finances.

Chin up mate. At least ENIC have increased our tangible assets on the balance sheet. I thought that was a nice touch and really gave me a positive vibe immediately after reading we’re stuck at Wembley until Jan at the earliest .

It's not that bad. The problem is that everyone tries to leave by Wembley Park or Wembley Central. The trick is to take a walk to Preston Road, which takes about 20 mins and on a cold night it's better to be walking than standing still.

They'll need to check every device works & shows up properly on the system, check all of the cause/effect programming works as intended (ie shutdowns on alarm), zonal sounders operate properly, check dB levels of alarms in all areas to confirm they meet minimum standards, there's quite a lot to it but it shouldn't take more than a week IMO.

I was expecting the delay, what fucks me off is that they’re blatantly milking us for interest. If they can refund Chelsea now, why can’t they just refund the rest rather than wait a week before each game.

Us ST holders haven’t received any goodwill during this shit show either, we’re just left with the ball ache of having to remember when to withdraw our money and then rebuy our tickets at Wembley where the atmosphere gradually gets worse and worse with every game.

Last season I pretty much did every game at Wembley despite not being a season ticket holder. This season I'm a season ticket holder but my situation has changed massively. I've moved into London (expensive) so I'm taking as much as the refunds as I can.

Then next year I'm planning on following my dreams (sounds lame I know) to become a scuba dive instructor and work out in Caribbean - so don't even think there's a point in me renewing because I don't really want to come back.

Feel like I've been robbed.

Once relegation and title situations start panning out in new year I could see massive opposition from other clubs to us moving in January/ February.
And they should be told to shut up. We are already at a disadvantage by playing away week in week out.

That sounds great, working as a scuba instructor in the Caribbean. Any particular island?
