For the benefit of @westmorelandspurs and @realmadyidd (who somehow think I am being 'creative' or 'WTF' by stating that the season finishes in 6 months rather than a year's time) our last league fixture is 12th May 2019, not 12th November 2019 (believe it or not there is a 6 month gap between those two dates). For the record we are currently in November 2018.

no but the person you aimed your original at said "near on a year", even if the season finishes in May, if they don't fix it, from the time it was found, to the time next season starts equals "near on a year"

Another clue that it won't be next season. why do markings 9 months ahead of next seasons friendlies.

Why would we bother marking out the pitch if it wasn't going to be ready until next season?

if we hope to open in January we need to do test events, and wouldn't be shocked if they are a match whether it's youth, legends or ladies.

though I would expect them to have a good idea that the certificate won't be far off before those as I doubt they will want 30k+ to be in there without alarms working

This has become a really irrelevant side conversation and I'm not really fussed about it TBH. But the fact remains, if we are to play at NWHL this season they need to fix the problems, hold test events etc. in 6 months. I don't have an opinion either way as I don't have much knowledge or experience of major construction projects and I also can only speculate about what the issues causing the delay really are in any detail.

Note to these Doomsters and Glass Half Empty people. We play a lot of games each and every season in shite or mediocre grounds both in the England and overseas. The journey to and from Wembley is a bummer for most. But we are playing our home games in one of the biggest, best and most iconic grounds in the world. We set records last season and hopefully we will set one or two more this season.
Jan? March? April? August? WHEN we move into the new WHL it will be BRILLIANT/AMAZING/MIND BLOWING.

Only a few years ago we were playing teams we'd never heard of, who hailed from countries we couldn't find on the map.

Meanwhile, our away results have been excellent, and if we get behind the team and ditch the negativity re the ground, hopefully home results will improve, starting with PSV.

Be patient , be positive.

Going round the north circular today. That bit of the flyover where you get a good look at the ground. Used to love having a look at White Hart Lane. There’s a bloody monster of a ground there now. Looks like an alien invasion. I, for one, welcome our new overlords.

have to say I still find it odd the name of the club is not above the entrance. I could understand if there was no obvious space. But there’s a strip of veil above the glass which is perfect. Yes I get most will know it’s our stadium but that’s not really the point. It could have been done in a subtle way like the cock on the veil. It must be the only stadium in the Uk that doesn’t have the club name loud and proud.

Building contractor: Right Daniel we are working throught this issue with the Fire cabling and we should have this done in two weeks if we put all our attention into it..
Levy: What about the fucking sign above the entrance?
Building contractor: We are getting round to it but we were focusing on the fire system. We thought. This was important as we cant open the stadium without getting this signed off?
Levy: I DONT FACKING PAY YOU TO THINK!! GET ON THE SIGNAGE NOW COCKER!!!!

The emirates has the name emirates loud and proud and then just the Arsenal badge, ok the badge does have the name on it but that's because they are a classless bunch, but their name isn't actually loud and proud.
I think it'll be ok as I'm pretty sure anybody passing by will guess it's our stadium, and the last time I wrote that someone disagreed with me!:)
What has occurred to me is what will be on the East stand which is the NFL entrance, I wonder if they'll have the emblem on that side or something specific and dear to our hearts but that can also be more generic to a non football audience, something like "The game is about Glory"

Only a couple of weeks ago someone was complaining about a lack of spurs branding on the stadium. Last week they put a giant cockeral on the front.

They haven't finished the front they might have tottenham hotspur written in 30 foot letters for all we know.

I know it's a revolutionary thought but maybe wait and see what they do with the front before complaining?
